Well done!!!!!

How much more do you want to lose?

ADPiZXalum 01-28-2004 08:17 PM

Um..........about 50-60. I'm really weird though about how I carry weight........like I gained maybe 30 pounds my last yera of college (I turned 21, give me a break) but I only went up one size.. Know what I mean? And actually, I weighed today and it is closer to 20!!!!!!!!!! Yah hoo for me!!and for everyone else out there who is doing great.

adpialumcsuc 01-30-2004 08:16 PM

Anyone have any good ideas for snack for a super bowl party?

Pickles!!!!

I believe it was Kappaloo who suggested pickles as a great 0 point snack. Chips are my weakness, so I have replaced chips with pickles, because pickles are salty and crunchy...just like chips!

ADPiZXalum 01-31-2004 02:59 AM

POPCORN! the light or low fat whatever kind is usually only like 1 point for 5 or 6 cups!!! Figure it out, but it's really low

Lady Pi Phi 01-31-2004 01:44 PM

Just got back from my meeting...another 4 pounds this week!!!! I am really proud of myself!
My total after 5 weeks is 11.4 pounds. I got my 10 pound ribbon and my gold star!!!!

Also, I got my treat. Every ten pounds I lose I've decided to treat myself...so my treat is an hour long massage!! But my mum is picking up the tab, how exciting!

I really like this thread...it helps to keep me motivated.

I hope everyone else had a great week. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations on losing the 4 pounds, getting the 10 pound ribbon and the gold star! I hope you enjoyed your massage if you had it already. If you haven't had it yet, enjoy!

Everyone, keep up the good work! Good luck this week!

Ok ladies.....I got this free registration card in the mail so I went to my first meeting tonight! I don't have a 10% weight loss goal, so my leader told me whatever weight that was in the charts I could pick to be my goal. I have a 10.8 pounds to be in my first goal! My real goal is not very realistic.

I hadn't been back to weight watchers since the Flexpoints started. I kinda like the idea better that I need to be at certain range and then I have freebie points.

ADPiZXalum 02-03-2004 03:09 AM

Well girls, I go to meeting tomorrow and last time I weighed on my home scale I had lost about 18 pounds. YAH FOR ME!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to all of you who are doing so well!!!! I'm so proud

mu_agd 02-03-2004 08:05 AM

so not looking forward to going to my meeting tonight. i really feel like i gained, just not sure how much. uugghhh...

Don't worry. If you did, you'll just have to get back and track. The weight will come off.

On the other hand think positive that you didn't. I thought I gained weight last week but I actually lost 4 pounds!

Good luck tonight!

ISUKappa 02-03-2004 11:05 AM

Congrats on all the losses ladies!! That's fantastic! :D

I did horribly last week, so I kind of quit counting points around Tuesday. :o I started over again yesterday and went over because I was frustrated with my husband and that forced me to eat cookie after cookie. But today is a new day, and I'm even going to the gym tonight. I haven't stepped on a scale since last week because I'm kind of afraid of what it'll say. I'm doing WW on my own (using Winning Points) so I don't have meetings to keep me accountable.

I can't wait until it gets warm out again and I can start going on walks outside. I hate that in the winter I have no motivation to get off the couch!

azdtaxi 02-03-2004 06:33 PM

I gainged 1.4lbs this week ... oh well you gain some and lose some

CatStarESP4 02-04-2004 03:48 AM

I went to my meeting and I gained 0.8 pounds. I was briefly a little upset. I forgave myself and am more determined to lose more weight.

Did they teach about the Quickstart program yet?

It's designed to jump start your weightloss, or help those that might have gained some weight take it off. The quick start program is 20 points plus the 35 flex points for the week. They tell you not to do the quick start program for more that 2 weeks because you'll probably start to feel hungry and then of course you'll binge. Unless your regular points value is 20 then this really doesn't make much of a difference. I've thought about doing it, but since I'm losing weight I might just wait till my weight loss needs a little extra boost.

ETA: You did the right thing. Forgive yourself and move on. If you beat yourself up about a little weight gain you'll just get upset and probably turn to food.

Kepp up the excellent work ladies. You can do it!

adpialumcsuc 02-05-2004 01:30 PM

So I only lost 1 lb this past week but I wasn't expecting to loose any so I am excited.

That's great. Congratulations! It's better than nothing...or gaining weight!

I on the other hand just had 2 slices of pizza. It looks like cucumber for supper tonight :D

toocute 02-05-2004 11:53 PM

working out?

Is everyone working out or just following points?

ISUKappa 02-06-2004 12:03 AM

I try to exercise, but I'm lucky if I get 1-2 workouts a week in. I know I could make time for more, but with it being winter, I can't walk outside like I do in the spring/summer/fall and with our puppy, I can't get to the gym 3 nights a week like I used to before we got her (hubby works late so I usually have to get home right after work to let her out and play).

I definitely notice a difference between when I exercise x times a week and follow points as opposed to when I just follow points.

I'm pretty much just following points. I do play hockey once a week, but because it's such an intesive activity, I get an extra 11 points for the day from that.

UKDaisy 02-06-2004 01:09 AM

Girls, I just started back and I'm having a really hard time staying to my 20 pts a day. And I know I get Flexpoints, but I have a weekend coming up. I'll try to divide them evening, but it gets really hard. Especially living right on campus, where fast food is close, cheap, and easy!!!! :(

Try to find zero point snacks like pickles or other vegetables to keep you filled during the day. Remember to drink your water too. Water will fill you up.

I blew the rest of my points today on lunch. I had a low point lunch, only 4 points, but I was still so hungry I eneded up getting fish and chips :( . I still have some flex points left, but I hate using them.

I have to get weighed in tomorrow. I think I'll have to skip dinner or it's cuccumber and lettuce for supper tonight.

Weight watchers also has a vegetable soup that I found that has zero points. It is really yummy and easy to make. It also takes the urge for food away.

Yes it does. I have the recipie but I haven't tried it yet. I don't really like vegetable soup so I'm a little weary.

Lady Pi Phi 02-07-2004 08:11 PM

I put on 1.6 pounds this week :(

OK, get back on track, and take it off.

I'm joing a gym on tuesday and I will be playing hockey one more day a week. I really think that'll help.

OrigamiTulip 02-07-2004 08:23 PM

Down 3.0 lbs this week, for a total of 8.2. Woohoo!

MSSTCY1 02-08-2004 08:04 PM

I'm so glad I found this thread. My roomates are all skin and bones so when I come home from a meeting and get excited about losing a pound they look at me like I'm nuts.

I was wondering though, has anyone tried Evamor water? My brother works at a GNC like store and he's been telling me about it. Supposedly it is suppose to do something to the ph levels in your body so that you burn fat faster. I want to try it, but before I drive across town to get it ( and spend more $$ that on normal water) I'd like to know if anyone has had success with it.

I went to my meeting tonight and I lost 2 pounds. I was having a somewhat miserable week and I was surprised about it.

Everyone, good luck with this week!

I know I am having a bad week. I totally stopped counting points yesterday, and I had crap for breakfast this morning.

mu_agd 02-11-2004 10:36 AM

i've been doing so bad lately. i really need to get back on track since it is causing me to be so frustrated with myself.

adpialumcsuc 02-11-2004 01:15 PM

I lost 2 lbs also this week. I thought I was doing bad also (again) so I am suprised I lost any. I will take what ever I can get and also take the good weeks with the bad weeks and keep moving forward. It will all slowly add up to a bigger number.:D :D
