My thoughts-
Jake is showing us a side that was totally hidden during his season. Where is all of that touchy feely, "I just want a wife and kids and a job flying planes" talk?

I don't watch the show often, but I do keep up on the gossip. I saw Jake recently interviewed and he said that he's planning to get "back" into acting. (Apparently, he did acting as a kid.) It's like the guy from Jersey Shore saying that he's like to "do some films next". He just put out a rap song, and the lyrics go "Whoa, whoa, situation".

What's up with these reality show people? Do people think just because they've been in front of the camera on a reality show, that they are a shoe-in for an acting career? Sure, some people are "naturals", but I'd love to see any of these reality "stars" do a cold read or go on an audition. I'm afraid their film would be like anything Paris Hilton has done, or this Anna Nicole Smith train wreck, where she had to be fed lines, sometimes word by word:

Chris is such a Jake fan that he made it a point of telling Vienna that she did an "unauthorized" interview. It is OK for Jake to talk to the media though. Show is over, their lives are a mess, at what point does ABC step back and leave them alone? It was OK for Jake to tell "his side of the story", but heaven forbid that Vienna showed that Jake is a total jerk. He tried to control Jillian's life by telling ABC he HAD to go to Texas to tell her about Wes, he was a creep on his own show, he is a media whore looking for a Hollywood contract, and he was just plain controlling and rude to Vienna on Monday making it appear he is "Mr. Innocent" and she is a total blond who should not be allowed to stand up to him.

I wasn't a Vienna fan before this week's episode, but I've got to say- I am warming up to her! She came across as genuinely upset and frustrated. Yes, she isn't the most mature- but like others have said, that's probably one reason Jake picked her.

If my husband told me something couldn't fit in our bedroom, I would've pulled out the measuring tape too- or just started shoving furniture around. And if he gave me directions, yes I will also pull out the GPS- just because they make sense to you does not mean they make sense to me! Men (sorry for the over generalization) sometimes are not the best communicators. My husband is a great example- I have no hopes of every learning Portuguese, his native language, from him. When I ask why the pronounciation changes or the word order is one way, he says "I don't know, it just is". Yes- I will go off and look up my own answer so that my curiosity is satisfied!

Jake came across like a complete ass. All I heard him say was "Stop interrupting me!" and "Do you see what I have to put up with?"

Good luck Vienna with whatever you wind up doing. And Jake, may your acting career be perpetually non-existant.

On an Ali note: Anyone else notice how she seems really confused about the guys & what to do? They started to play it up, but if you watched her face, how she interacted with them, and what she said... Almost seems like they're setting the stage for her not picking anyone.

Jake's a skank.

Yes, I noticed that too. We already know that Frank dumps her, right? I don't know that the remaining 3 are right for her. I like the Cape Cod guy but I don't think she does. Kirk is all kinds of wrong and Roberto is iffy. I feel kind of bad for her that it doesn't seem like it's going to work out. I think I'm the only one around here who likes Ali, though.

Anybody watching?

Nanners52674 08-02-2010 10:34 PM

I am, I'm watching After The Final Rose now.

AGDee 08-02-2010 10:51 PM

I really want to see an all out brawl on here someday, not like Jake and Vienna.. after they've had a real relationship, but between one of the guys who got tossed and the bachelorette..lol. Has that happened?

Nanners52674 08-02-2010 11:10 PM

I don't think so but I would love a no holds bar fight.

gee_ess 08-03-2010 09:32 AM

Love Roberto and figured it was going to be him. I hope (although Ali really got on my nerves a lot!) that this relationship is one that works for quite a while.

I pick Chris for the next Bachelor.

And, I admit it, I got teary-eyed when the rainbow appeared.

Yeah, I felt bad for Chris too. I really do hope he finds someone. I think he deserves it. He really does seem like a great guy.

I hate to be a 'Debbie Downer', but Roberto strikes me as a 'love 'em and leave 'em' kind of guy. I don't know why, but I got that vibe from him.

Yes, I know what you mean. And it sounds like Ali was afraid of that most of the time. I thought he sounded so grounded when he was talking to her dad - something just seemed more real than the other times I have heard all that stuff. I will keep my fingers crossed!

I know it is old-fashioned, but I really, really wish that Ali and Roberto were not moving in together. I like that they are finding a neutral location to start out(San Diego), but it just seems to be a recipe for disaster to move in with someone that you do not know all that well.

That video is HILARIOUS :p
It reminds me all too well of boys from high school that experimented with... alternate activities

Some show I watched the other night did in fact make the audio from the video as the VO for Chris looking up at the rainbow. I can't remember which show it was...Kimmel, Colbert, Daily Show.
