I'm down 30 lbs. now & am almost to my half way goal. Since I have been in & out of the US for the last few months (and I've still got one more trip to go before I'll be back in the US for anymore than 2 weeks at a time!) I'm just trying to maintain my weight. In France I was able to lose 1.4 lbs. but it was for a two week duration, usually I'd lose 1.4 lbs. in one week! I gained 6 ounces during the two weeks I was home & now I'm Germany & am having a hard time staying motivated. Any advice?

My boyfriend used to hate jeans, until he tried Lucky jeans. Now he loves them, and it's really all he wears. In his words "they just don't feel like jeans". That's not to say that I'm advocating spending $100-$150 on jeans (uless you have that kind of money to spare :) ), but I do feel like a great fitting pair of jeans is a worthwhile addition to any wardrobe. :) |

My friend has been doin WW and has lost like 40some lbs and looks awesome. I think she was at around a size 22/24 (Lane Bryant) and now she's at a 14. I'd like to try it but after spending so much money on unsuccessful diets in the past, and a pretty expensive YMCA membership, I'm gona try it on my own. WW seems pretty cool and easy tho so once I get a job I'll probably try it. |
I just rejoined WW last week for a few reasons. Right now in my area there is no joining fee - BIG BONUS. I don't like to pay extra to join.
Also, I was putting my laundry away and needed an extra hanger and came across my skinny jeans and so for kicks, I pulled them off the hanger. They looked tiny! I thought they were two sizes smaller than my current size, but they're three sizes smaller than my current size. They are serving as my big motivating factor to get back into the size that I want to be. Today was my first weigh in for weight loss and I was down 3 pounds. |
So, my goal was to lose 12 pounds by the end of October. I'm so excited!!! I weighed in tonight and I've lost a total of 12.2 lbs since I started the Wednesday after Labor Day.
Plus, my getting back on the program has inspired my sister to start back up again. She's doing the Core plan and she's lost five pounds in her first week. |

Hmm...that's too bad that you're stuck. Are you eating the exact same amount of points every day? i.e. right now I eat 24 points a day. I've had leaders in the past say that sometimes it's a good idea to vary the points a little bit each day since you do have those 35 flex points to use throughout the week. Therefore maybe one day I'd eat 27 points, another day 24 points, another 24 point, another 29 points. That way you kind of 'trick' (for lack of a better word) your metabolism as it doesn't know exactly what it's going to get. It's awesome that you've lost 30 lbs though! Way to go! Congratulations!! :) |

Also, I do what bluefish81 said about varying points. Since I get 20 a day, I'll eat 20 one day and 25 the next. It also helps to vary the kinds of food you eat. |

I'm definitely looking into the core plan for next week. Its worth a shot! |
I did the Core Plan this past week & I lost 6.2 lbs! Its crazy how well it worked! I feel more satisfied all the time & I just feel healthier! :D
|
The number of points you eat to maintain is entirely dependant upon your body. My meeting has several Lifetime members in it & a few of them have said in past meetings that they eat 2-3 more points per day than the current points target for their weight range.

I just thought I would brag about myself. I have officially lost 90 pounds. I am now at my high school weight. Awesome.

Thanks, Bluefish. It took me a little less than a year-and-a-half after Max was born, but I finally did it. I still have 12 pounds to go before I hit goal and lifetime.
|
I weighed in today and I've now lost a total of 16.8 pounds. :D I now have less than 30 pounds to go before I hit the 45 pounds that I want to lose overall.
