Well I haven't been to the gym this week. One because I have been so tired. 2 I hurt my foot.
I haven't had any junk food (except some tartufo yesterday, but it wa my brithday). I haven't really been counting points either. But I don't think my eating has been all that bad. I guess we'll see on saturday. I'm going to try to go to the gym tomorrow if my foot isn't bothering me too much. |
recommitting to WW?
Hey there fellow Weight Watchers! Has anyone recommitted to WW for the New Year? I have started over and thankfully, I caught myself late holiday before completely blowing things. My aim is to go back to the WW center in 2 weeks and not have to pay. Since I achieved Lifetime membership, I sorta slacked off. Tip: do not stop going once a week after you reach Lifetime because it is very hard to stay focused when you only go monthly. This has been my experience anyway.
Good luck to everyone who is recommitting this year! |

My new year's resolution was to start back on the points system. I wasn't going to go to meetings becuase I didn't want to spend the money and not show up or do what I needed to do. So I said I would do it on my onw until I lost my 10% weight and then I would hit the meetings. So far things have not been good.
I really want to do this because I am so miserable right now, but I can't seem to focus. |
I'm back on now. I was really on it for a while and lost 16.5 pounds. But I was motivated to fit into the wedding dress I ordered. Then I let myself indulge a bit too much over the holidays. I gained 4 lbs. back. :(
But, I pick up and start over. I have 2 months til I take the dress in for alterations, so I definitely think I can get the 4 off by then, and maybe a couple more! Good luck to all in the new year! |
Good Luck Kathy! Your wedding dress is awesome, and I know you will look beautiful in it :)
I don't do prescribed diets, but I am back on the weight loss track. Last year in May I started a quest to lose 15 pounds, and I got half way there. I'm using the first quarter to finish the deed. I'm already down one pound since the holiday fiasco. |
ok, so i was thinking about doing weight watchers. but i have a question to throw out there:
this is my issue- i've always been very skinny because i've always been a runner/athlete. well, 3 surgerys later i'm not allowed to run very much. in fact, i'm not really allowed to work out much either. so i've put on weight and i'm not happy about it. nothing really fits me anymore. problem is i've looked at some sucess stories, and i'm at the weight they ended at. am i going to be scoffed at if i attend meetings? |
Dolphin, they won't scoff at you.
Weight Watchers is not only about losing, but also weight control and management once you get where you want to be. I am starting back already with the points system and exercising again. I started my exercise program at the YMCA last week and fired up to make changes. Sunday...bumped toe into wall and bruised beyond belief--hard to wear walking shoes and do anything...:( Will be glad when foot feels better. Former WW member here and will be going back soon! It really worked for me...then, I dropped out. Nothing good there! |

WW is very strict about their weight range though. I know my firend's mom and sister both got down to the bottom of the suggested weight range for their height, and WW made them bring a doctor's note saying they could attend meetings. FYI: Here's the WW chart on min/max weight for height for females. Ht. Min. High Target (Age 25-45) 5’1” 106 127 5’2” 109 131 5’3” 113 135 5’4” 116 140 5’5” 120 144 5’6” 124 148 5’7” 127 153 5’8” 131 158 5’9” 135 162 5’10” 139 167 5’11” 143 172 6’0” 147 177 6’1” 151 182 6’2” 155 187 6’3” 160 192 6’4” 164 197 6’5” 184 202 |
so after losing that 20lbs about a year ago, i regained almost all of it when i was unemployed there for a while. but now that i've started back to work, i've dropped even more weight than i had originally. i've gone from a size 26/28 to a size 18/20. i feel pretty good now. i get my exercise at work just by doing my job. i walk some 10k steps a day just at my job. so now i have both my diet and my activity under control and the lbs are coming off. i'm looking damn good!! lol

Woohoo!! Went to the YMCA tonight and worked out...40 minutes on a crosstrainer and 11 stations of weights. I feel tired, but it's a good tired.

This week I lost 4.5 lbs.!

I just signed up again for Weight Watchers Online. I had done it before, lost 8 pounds, then somehow drifted off of it.
My mom wants to join Curves and says we should do it together. I told her I would if she pays ;) I think i'd get bored of Curves pretty quickly. |
