Ok Danielle....you guys won this round.

I'm way too pissed off right now to speak further on it, but at least the Huskies are going to the tournament...interesting to see what their seed will be.

Collin

kddani 03-15-2003 11:33 PM

I am so stoked!!!!!!!!!
Damn good game. We are the Big East Champions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joe Lunardi can take his seeding projections where the sun don't shine.... we'd better be a #1, MAYBE a #2.
NCAA tourney people, I have faith in you.

*doing MAJOR happy dance*

P-I-T-T LET'S GO PITT!!!!!!!!!!!

kddani 03-16-2003 12:01 AM

one more thing:

how cool is it that the rapper 50 cent was celebrating on the floor with the Pitt team? some of our players are apparantly friends with him

ZTABullwinkle 03-16-2003 12:54 AM

I am so looking forward to March Madness starting. It definitely is anyone's ball game this year. (Although UK got the "kiss of death" by being on the front page of SI this week! ;))

I am not saying anything about anyone, since it seems that no one is safe right now. (Not to mention - my Blue Devils have their Championship game to WIN tomorrow night!)

As for top seeds in their conference championships? Has anyone won their title yet??? Oh yeah, Lady Blue Devile have!! :p Sorry, I am going to duck out of here now! I am sure there are going to be some flying posts coming my way. :D

See you guys after the brackets are announced on Sunday. I hope that my Lady Monarchs are somewhere in there. Considering we are hosting the first round at "The Ted!"

Kevin 03-16-2003 03:33 AM

Tommorow OU and Mizzou in the Bix XII finals! Could not believe Mizzou beat KU! TT's loss was expected but it was too close.

Can OU beat Mizzou as they (finally) have momentum? Or can we get a taste of last year where OU was Missouri's worst nightmare, sweeping them in the season and beating them out of the NCAA tourney..

Too bad I work tommorow:mad:

If that happens and they lose by two points because of a buzzer-beater I will go on a spree, and it won't be shopping.

But, I'll give it up to Butler, that's one hell of a team.

Screw Marquette, Dwayne who? :)

I hate Butler with a passion since they're in the same league with my school, so I'm glad they went down:D UW-Milwaukee might put on a good show in the big dance depending on who they get in the first round.

DeltaSigStan 03-16-2003 05:40 PM

We lost to UNLV for the third time on Friday, so we're out because we're not getting an at large bid. What an underachieveing season. Well, what do you expect from SDSU

prospectiverushee 03-16-2003 07:38 PM

My LSU Lady Tigers got the #1 seed in the West. I'm pumped. Games start Saturday and of course, I'll be spending it at work. Probably won't get to see them play their opening game. Boo to my new work schedule

AXJules 03-16-2003 07:46 PM

<<Sniffles>> Mizzou's out......

I'm so pissed. Anyone else see the first half? Have to say, we played soooo shitty.

But some props have to be given to a team who loses a game by one point after losing by 20 some points at the half.

NinjaPoodle 03-16-2003 09:43 PM

GO HAMPTON WOMENS B-BALL!!!

Gina1201 03-16-2003 09:53 PM

Let's go SYRACUSE !!!:D

DeltaZeecutie 03-16-2003 09:58 PM

So I missed the Selections....who's seeded where? Is University of Cincinnati or Ohio State seeded? I watch a little bit of the games at work ( I work at Damon's a sports bar) but besides that I haven't been able to keep up.:(

Cincinnati is seeded #8 in the West and unless I'm reading my bracket wrong Ohio State isn't in at all. But I could be overlooking it.

DeltaZeecutie 03-16-2003 10:10 PM

Thanx!

KSigkid 03-16-2003 10:13 PM

UConn a #5 seed, Boston College not making the tourney....so BU didn't make it, 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

Have a hard time believing why Texas got a #1 seed ahead of Kansas, but I guess that's the way it goes.

jharb 03-17-2003 01:58 AM

I'm so happy Butler got in! It's great after being snubbed last year to be a #12 seed this year! :D :D :D

Jess

ilovemyglo 03-17-2003 10:22 AM

SEC got 6 teams in!

U of K- #1 that is all I am going to say about that.

Western Kentucky, god love em, they have my support, but that is like pulling a bulldog out a poodles ass... GO TOPS!

U of L ranked #4 after winning the C-USA Tourney and Marquette, who lost early on, got a #3 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaha!
CARDS SUCK! But i love that Rick Pitino coaching style, good thing he got to perfect it with the cats first!

My final 2- AZ and UK with the Wildcats winning (HAHA!)

White_Chocolate 03-17-2003 10:26 AM

hey, i'm proud of marquette
i have to go look at the seed rankings though

Unfortunately AZ and UK are on the same side of the bracket amd so would meet in the semi-final ... not the final :-( So no all Wildcat final this year

Go TOPS!!

Go KY Wildcats!!

Go AZ Wildcats!!

Gota' go with my two alma matres and my hometown team

White_Chocolate 03-17-2003 02:11 PM

indiana is playing. . .i don't see how they even made it. . .

texas. . .what do you expect from the best

and those sooners, got to hand to the texas neighbors. . .when you border the best. . .you got to be the best

AGDLynn 03-17-2003 10:31 PM

Lady Bulldogs play Lady Hilltoppers

If I read the little brackets right, they will play each other if they both win their first game! Sorry, but I'm pulling for the Lady Dawgs on this one...otherwise, I'd pull for WKy.

As for the guys, oh well....I still say "GO DUKE!!"

(btw, hope y'all had fun at formal!)

;) :D

White_Chocolate 03-18-2003 02:00 PM

they started handing out brackets yesterday. . .the pool has started. . .

for every bracket you turn in $2
if your team advances, you win cash and have the chance to invest plus $2
so, in the end, our pool will be huge

i turned in 4 for the first round

DeltaSigStan 03-18-2003 02:05 PM

I HOPE YOU UCSB STUDENTS AND ALUM ARE READY FOR A GOOD ASS KICKING AT THE AZTECS, NIT-STYLE

*Turns off sarcasm*

White_Chocolate 03-18-2003 05:24 PM

people are always saying that #1 seed teams rarely meet in the Final Four. . .
i'm hoping this will be the case. . .
ending with KY playing TX. . .
but it might be AZ. . .

Boy is it going to be a mess if some or all of these games have to be postponed due to a war!

Let's hope that doesn't happen.

ZTABullwinkle 03-18-2003 08:56 PM

What about the NCAA Selection Committee screwing up by putting BYU in a brakcet that should they advance they would have to play on a Sunday?!? How in the world did that happen? So, IF (this is a big IF) that happens they get moved to another conference for that game..I am not sure I read that right, let alone understand it.

The Selection Committee knew that BYU doesn't play on Sundays, but did it anyways. Go figure!

A little less important than if we go to war, but something comical to make you shake you head at. (Right now, I really don't want to even think about the "W" word. I live near Norfolk Naval Base, largest Naval Base in the US. Pretty depressing in this area right now. :( ) God Bless Our Military!

AGDLynn 03-18-2003 09:00 PM

Supposedly, someone in the NCAA Selection Office "overlooked" that little tidbit about BYU....guess they didn't realize what BYU stands for.

Where were the proofreaders??

Kitso's Final Four (Amended from before since brackets came out)

Kentucky
Duke
Maryland (c'mon Terps, take care of those pesky horns for me :p )
Oklahoma

Duke tops OU for the title, although, i'd be happy with an OU win also

Kitso
KS 361 + 100 = amount of points Duke's gonna score in the tourney

AOIIalum 03-19-2003 08:12 AM

Here's how my Final Four looks:

Wake Forest
Xavier
Kentucky
Arizona

Got Kentucky playing Wake for the title, with Kentucky winning 67-62 (129 points)

I'd love to see OU come out on top. They're an excellent tournement team. Only trouble is have you watched them in big games? They stop scoring in the 2nd half! If you watched any of their last 3 or 4 games you'd know what I'm talking about! They were way ahead of the whorns but they stopped scoring for the last 4 minutes of the game and got beaten! I swear someone's point shaving or something.

ilovemyglo 03-19-2003 11:26 AM

I am rooting for

2. U of K
3. Whoever plays AGAINST Duke

White_Chocolate 03-19-2003 12:16 PM

So F*CK YOU Jim Rome, you and your CSU-hating, not going to a real UC school being ass can go back to 690.

AOIIalum 03-20-2003 08:13 AM

I'm in on the brackets, I'm notoriously bad at these but love filling them out.
