I cannot believe that that we beat Duke. Even if my Bayou Bengals don't get to the Final Four, I am happy.

Definitely next year on the pool! Trust me when I said it was the first and last time I'd ever cheer for LSU, but Duke must die (and they did!!!!)

Number 1 and Done, Baby!

Complete hijack: One year St. Valentine's Day fell on Bacchus Sunday. We had friends, two of Mr. aopirose's fraternity brothers & their wives, in town. The guys told us that they had something special planned. I can't begin to tell you how ticked we, the wives, were when we pulled up to the race track!

Anyway, it became wives vs. husbands. They had a "system" that involved pedigree, the weather, etc. Our system was the cuteness of names, silk color combinations, and the like. The wives ended up $100 ahead!

Our first trip to the Final Four in 20 years!

ETA: For the men that is and our women's team is still going strong too! Geaux Pokey and the Lady Tigers!!!!!!

No, the end of the world would have been if Louisville, dUKe or UNC won. LSU's about 6th on that list, so no where close to Armageddon (this is when we need a silly laughing smilie over there, huh?!) Honestly, if I didn't win the pool I'd love you to beat me S. It's either you or me girl!
