I'm a doofus. Ignore this.

ADPiSAI 10-31-2003 11:42 AM

The Good:
*Tim Horton's (and living right next door to one... oh wait, maybe that's bad...)
*Mint Aero bars
*prescription drug costs
*lots of snow!

The Bad:
*sub-arctic temperatures in the winter

The Ugly:
*Québecois rap
*Celine Dion

MereMere21 10-31-2003 11:54 AM

I thank my Canadian neighbors 6 years ago for introducing me to the wonderful sport of ice hockey :D

Don't have anything against Canada really except Celine Dion - her voice makes me want to tear my own arm off just to have something to beat her with

.......this thread just reminded me of The Whole Nine Yards when Bruce Willis gets pissed off at the waitress for putting Mayo on his hamburger. HAHA....ok I'm over it.....

Lady Pi Phi 10-31-2003 11:56 AM

The Good:

* Tim Horton's (for sure!)
* Hockey (especially outdoors...there's nothing like an 8am game outside in the dead of winter to wake you up)
* The Tragically Hip
* Universal Health care (even though I have to wait forever...being a diabetic I don't have the money to be treated in the US)

The Bad:

* The Liberals and the new Conservative party

The Ugly:

* The Quebecois
* The dollar (even though it's at the best it's been in 10 years)
* letting large American corporations invade (Mr. Walton...you can take Sam's club and just leave...Walmart is enough thank you...and even that's too much!)

Okay, is that Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas doing the voices of the moose in the new Disney movie "Brother Bear"? I swear it is, but my husband is doubtful.

If it is them, they're the only reason I want to see the movie.

That wasn't a snide remark, i was asking if this was a new phenomenon....i've never heard anyone say this before.
I have friends in Canada who have come to the states for medical treatment because they did not want to wait on a list for the procedure. These friends have told me their friends do the same. I have never researched the issue. Every now and then, I have seen a news report on the subject. I didn't want my comments to offend. I meant them as jokes... all except the high price of alcohol... makes me want to drink water. I really love Canada... lol!

Hey I loved Made in Canada.... if you get a chance watch the episode were a hollywood director comes up to film the war of 1812 ("red coats?, that's so last year, I was thinking more of a teal with some gold and pink highlights.")

I totally forgot about Train 48; how the hell does that thing stay on the air.... it's so bad I have honestly stopped taking the GO train (well that and the late nights;) )

Hey now... you guys inflicted more than your share on us.... Billy Ray Cirus (and the hair), or Michael Bolton (again the hair).

It's because of CanCon. That's why these crappy shows stay on the air.
