The funniest part of the TMZ article (the one w/ the picture of the crash) is this...

Tiger was wearing shorts, a t-shirt and no shoes. It's illegal in Florida to drive without shoes.

They might not be able to prove he had taken painkillers, but they can sure charge him for driving without shoes!

I think the story is kinda funny, and I tend to believe the TMZ story: she was pissed about the stories in the Enquirer that says he's been cheating, they fought, he ran out of the house and got in his car, she ran after him with the golf club and smashed out the windows, it startled him and he ran into the fire hydrant/tree. He had lacerations on his face, which I doubt would come from a golf club - more like broken glass. I bet there was something broken inside the house, maybe she threw a beer bottle at him or something?

GASP! TIGER DOESN'T DRINK BEER!!!

This sounds more plausible than the "I broke the back window to rescue my man" story.

Off topic: LOL at the ad I got at the top of this thread: "How to get the perfect swing!"

"When you are Tiger Woods, you can be unavailable to police, when you are Tyrone Woods..."

Leno.

Interesting comment I just saw twittered:

So Rihanna's beating was our moral duty to address, but if Tiger caught a 9-iron to the grill it's "their personal business"?

US Weekly is reporting a second woman has come forward to claim she had an affair with Tiger.

Of course, she was also on Tool Academy, so I'm sure she's incredibly reliable.

What domestic violence on the car?

You'd really have to loooooove celebrity culture or taking stories at face value to not understand how absurdly unlikely that story really is.

DaemonSeid 12-01-2009 04:27 PM

KSig, didn't you have friend of a friend whose cousin's friend's sister used to go out with Tiger back in the day?

DrPhil 12-01-2009 08:40 PM

another male athlete accused of stirring the pot with his penis. surprise.

i assume this isn't too off base, even if all of the accusations are not true. when will they learn?

(this is a separate issue from the domestic violence)

DaemonSeid 12-01-2009 09:27 PM

assuming that it's true...

DrPhil 12-01-2009 09:38 PM

right

KSUViolet06 12-02-2009 11:45 AM

No surprises here:

http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/12/02/tiger.woods/index.html

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/1..._n_376779.html

I have yet to figure out why I logged into FB to a newsfeed filled with "OMG Tiger how could you???"

It cannot be a surprise to anyone that a successful athlete would *gasp* cheat on his spouse.

DaemonSeid 12-02-2009 12:09 PM

Here is the bottom line.

He wasn't drunk.

Neither are bruised from a fight.

Neither killed anyone.

Why does anyone really care?

Seriously. Overblown from the start, but I guess the folks that do care have been waiting a long time for something on Tiger.

agzg 12-02-2009 01:57 PM

He should have kept his mouth shut. This should not be that big a deal.

If you have millions and are famous, there are going to be reports of cheating whether you run around on your wife or not.
