It is a custom to sing the Hymn when a Bruh graduates, gets married, etc. So this Bruh has graduated and all the Bruhs gather to sing the Hymn. While they are singing, his family is behind them and his mother turns to her other son and says, "At least they coulda sang something EVERYBODY knows!" LOL!!!

That is hilarious.

Ok, sorry to crash, but I think some y'all are being really intolerant of nongreeks. I haven't read this whole thread, but a lot of what I have read seems pretty mean. If they don't know anything about the Greek life, they can't know that some of their comments are completely off-base.
Maybe try showing a little understanding of those who haven't lived a Greek life?

Completely understanding where you are coming from, because many people on here (who are now greek) haven't always lived greek life. However, I have always been taught to refrain from speaking on topics I am not well-versed in. And one of my pet peeves is when people say anything to make conversation...especially when it is greek related. Just say, "hello" and K.I.M.

That person was the 670th person to be ever be initiated in that chapter. That's how a lot of those organizations do it instead of starting over at 1 for each line.

This just happened a few minutes ago on my job. I am always cold, so I wear my letter jacket to work. A guy who is not a medical student approaches me.

Him: Are you a part of the stomp program? (tried to stomp)

Me:

Him: Are you a Alpha or a Omega?

Me:  No, I'm a Delta. Alpha and Omegas are guys.

Him: That means that Alphas and Omegas are guys and Deltas are girls?

Me: Yes.

Incidents like that don't make me want to wear my jacket in public.

AMEN!

I swear, it's been some years since Stomp The Yard has been out. I would think by now, general public would realize Omega Delta Phi =/= Theta Nu Theta

lol--speaking of which, I've had guys in my National Guard unit ask "Do y'all stomp the yard?" That was in 2007 or so. My undergraduate chapter visited a preschool for their "community helpers" week. The teacher asked "will you guys stomp for us?"
