CatStarESP4~
I was wondering are you drinking lots of water. I know that sometimes I will have stayed the same or even I will gain if I dont drink a certain amount of water. If you arent a big water drinker than maybe you could try the flavored water, I know when I first was starting out, Flavored water really helped. Good Luck with next week.

MS

I am not weighing in until Thursday becuase I a teaching (subbing) during my regualrly scheduled meeting. Boo HOO!!!

Mshoole, I do drink my water. I live in the Phoenix area, I have to drink lots of water during the summer months. Sometimes, I don't drink enough of it. I love drinking water, though.

One question, do those flavored waters contain any sweeteners? The reason I ask is because this past October, I participated in a Race For The Cure event. I received a bottle of Kiwi Strawberry Propel water after I finished. I noticed that it was too sweet. I looked at the ingredients and there was some kind of sweetener, I don't remember which one.

To answer your question. Not all of the flavored water contains sweetners. Some do so when you go and are looking for kinds, then check for the sweetners. IF the ingredients say in the first four some type of sugar sweetner that is not natural, its pure sugar.

The reason why I asked if you drank your water is becuase 9 out of 10 times we dont drink enough water and that is why we gain weight whether it be .1 pounds or 5 pounds. Also, do you write down what you eat, drink, things like that with the points? I was trying to think of what i didnt do when I would gain weight.

I just started WW again today. I did it last year from late February thru early August and lost around 25 pounds. Unfortunately, I've managed to put all but three of them back on. This time I'm a bit more determined about it, and one of my friends is doing it with me.
I'm also excited that Applebee's now has the Weight Watchers menu.

Went to my meeting on Tuesday and gained 5.6 lbs...hmm can we say time of the month. I hate this I always gain so much weight when its that time...Lord if only my weight could keep dropping at this time.

Good luck to all

Bluefish...glad to hear you are back with WW and I am so happy that you have found a friend to do it with...I find that it is sometimes better to have a friend motivating you to do this then your own self, becuase they tend to remind you in that great way that friends can do, that "you dont really want that do you?" way. Good Luck keep us posted.

This is my second week on the program and I already dropped 1.4 pounds. I was shocked cause I was kind of bad last week. I'd eat a healthy during the day and then at night, I'd blow it by eating sweets. This being week 3 I'm getting on track.

I haven't been following WW, but I'm going to participate in the GC weightloss challenge and I'm going to get back on WW starting today.

I have a lot to lose (my frist goal is 50 pounds by September 1...but I really would like to lose 1-2 pounds a week)

Hopefully I'll lose and stick with it. I want to lose weight before I go back to school and so I can go to Germany (my parents are bribing me with a palne ticket to Germany if I lose weight).

bluefish81 05-30-2004 02:35 PM

I'm down 2.2 lbs in the first week, and I'm already halfway thru my second week. So far so good. My friend gained a pound but she attributes that to her little sister's high school graduation party.

Does anyone know how many points a butter tart is??

bluefish81 05-31-2004 12:05 PM

Lady Pi Phi,
What is a butter tart? I've never heard of one.

What?? No wonder it's not in the book. It must be a Candian thing.

The best way I can describe it is it's very similar to a pecan pie. Only smaller. The more traditional ones don't have nuts, but have raisins. Others are made with pecans or walnuts.

Congratulations on the weight loss. I am actually counting points today (Yay me!!!) I really want to try hard to lose weight. I't never easy for me and I have trouble sticking to diets. I know I lost 12 pounds before I fell off the wagon.

I really need to lose weight. I'm miserable at my current weight and also doing the GC challenge (although I haven't been good about up dating my journal.)

Who's the GC poster with the WW excel spreadsheet??
