I never see ADPi listed as an "Old Row" or "First Circle", even though only KD has been there longer (1904). Does anybody know why?

I moved to Alabama in 1994. I only have rumors and gossip to go by, so I have no idea if any of it is accurate. I was told ADPi used to be a member of Old Row but at some point resigned. I've heard conflicting dates of when it happened. I've also heard several extremely different explanations as to why. There's no point in repeating any of them because it would be pure conjecture.
Over my tenure many members have asked if we could join or re-join Old Row (whichever the case may be). I imagine most or many of the non-OR Chapters wonder this as well. The primary reason is they believe it would benefit us in Recruitment. Skit Day/Round 3 is known as the "Old Row cut" for PNM's. While I don't have access to any stats, I imagine all the non-OR Chapters suffer from this. Last year the number of parties a PNM could attend was increased from 6 (# of OR Chapters) to 7. I would love to see some stats on how all the non-OR Chapters faired with possible increased return rates.
Anyways, any Chapter would have to be invited to (re-)join and to the best of my knowledge we haven't been. For that matter I don't believe any additional sororities or fraternities have been invited, at least not since I became involved. It seems OR is content with their membership as is. If we were invited would we? There are some policy issues that would have to be addressed first, so I can't answer that question.
