Yesterday, I went to my meeting and I gained 2.4 pounds. The leader weighed me and she told me that it was just a little gain. 2.4, a little gain!? To me, anything less than gaining 1 pound is a little weight gain. I was so devastated! I have thought about quitting again.

Dont Quit.

I went to my meeting yesterday and lost 3.8 lbs. But, a fellow member gained 2.5 lbs. She was thinking of giving up. Ask, your "leader" if she has the 7 day menu. What is it? It is a 7 day calendar where it tells you what to eat, how much to eat. It will truly help. Also, WALK or RUN!! Whatever you chose. Dont forget to exercise, it is a huge thing with losing weight. Quick question, are you drinking enough water? Not coffee or teaor soda, but actual crystal clear blue H20? If not then get a move on it. As in some movie I dont know the name to: "Where there is a will, there is a way." Good LUCK!!

Okay , everybody...Saturday May 1st marks my start date. I'm going to join WW and they have a meeting at 9am. I have nothing else to do except study for finals, so I'll be there. After reading your posts I see it's not easy, but it is possible. I'll check in later.....

Wish me luck!

Sweetie I am so with you. I've been avoiding this thread cuz I've been doing so bad the last few weeks. I haven't been eating like crazy but I have not been journaling, and I've been eating a lot of fried food. Work is stressing me and my little toddler is being a terrible two to the 10th power. It's hard and I'm tired. My husband is doing Atkins and he's been slipping the last two weeks for the same reasons (job stress, terror toddler). We are going to get our sh*t together this weekend and start over. Don't give up...we can do this. Seeing everybody else losing is making me want to give this another try.

SouthrnBelle - Welcome to the thread. Pop in and post often.

Yeah don't get frustrated. This is the first week that I have gained since I started. I am very frustarted but I am trying to move that frustration into being better about journaling and watching more what I eat. Oh yeah and that water stuff. I am good about drinking water but I am also good at drinking diet soda and I know that is not helping me at all.
Keeping working on it and you will start to see the results again.

I think I am probably going back on Saturday also. I feel bad that I have gained back almost all I lost last year. WW is really the only thing I can stick with for any length of time.

I went to my first meeting tonight. My mom and I are joining together. I have to do something to lose the baby weight, and mom wants to get her diabetes back under control. There were several women in the meeting who come into my work regularly (I'm a restaurant manager) so they joked that I need to keep them in line.

Wish me luck, as it seems my goal weight is really, really, REALLY far off ;)

Far too many unless you come in low-fat, low-sugar and low-calorie.

i actually read that having something low fat and sugar free is actually worse because the fat will fill you up faster while the "free" stuff can cause you to eat more because there is no substance.

so indulging in a lil sheet cake here and there can't hurt. ;)

I haven't been going to the gym lately. I think I reinjured my knee and it hurts to climb stairs. So there goes my cardio...

First Meeting

Okay folks.....the first meeting was weird, but since I paid for 4 weeks up front (said I'd give it a month) I'm gonna go.

Umm, today's my official first day counting points and it takes some careful planning. It's certainly not as easy as it sounds. I'm hungry right now and I'll remember not to overdo it at breakfast b/c you will pay for it later on in the day.

QUESTION: If you stay within your points but they all consist of fast foods... will you still lose weight? Somthing to think about.

kddani 05-02-2004 06:47 PM

So i've never done any kind of diet program before, but I just signed up for the WW online plan (i'd have a hard time going ot meetings.... none are very convenient either in time or place to my schedule).

tinydancer 05-02-2004 07:22 PM

Well, I re-joined yesterday. I had gained back all but 3 pounds that I had lost last year, which makes me :( . But I'm back on the bandwagon now.

I need to go to the grocery store. I don't have anything reasonable to eat and I'm getting hungry!

CatStarESP4 05-03-2004 01:00 AM

Tomorrow is my meeting and I am not sure how I did. However, I will keep you posted.
