MOVIES THAT SUCKED
1. Have Plenty
2. Bowfinger
3. PULP FICTION (I paid $1 to see it and I still feel cheated)
4. 3 Strikes
5. HOUSE PARTY 4 (came on USA in November, a reject version of FERRIS BUELLER's DAY OFF)

I liked HOW STELLA GOT HER GROOVE BACK, pretty amazing that a 300 page sentence can become a movie with substance.

sigmagrrl 01-29-2001 03:19 AM

1) The Ninth Gate: That movie had potential until the end!!
2) The Bachelor
3)Two Guys and A Girl : It was obvious RDJr was high!

I'm sure there are more, but these were the MOST painful!

moe.ron 05-15-2001 03:59 PM

Sorry to bring this up, but I just saw a movie that was even more horrible then Battlefield Earth. That movie is Replicant. You just have to hear three words to realize its bad: Jean Claude Van Damme. Oh, that's four word. I'm gonna cry for wasting one hour and a half of my life.

CRMSNTiDEGRL717 05-15-2001 04:28 PM

The worst movie of all time i would have to say is(drum roll).............

Down to You!!!!!
Am i the only one that wanted to scream at this movie and walk out???????????

I felt the same way, Heidi! That movie was a waste of both time and money. My eyes were wide shut during most of it, and my boyfriend fell asleep completely.

I've walked out of a theater only twice. The two offending movies were:

John Carpenter's Vampires: how can a vampire movie be that incredibly boring?

Tomcats: Thought it would be a fun little mindless movie after a long week. There wasn't a single decent laugh in the whole darn thing. Reminded me of Very Bad Things.

CRMSNTiDEGRL717 05-15-2001 06:37 PM

Did anyone understand the frogs in "Magnolia?"

Hey all,
the worse movie I saw was Dr. Moreao's Island(I know I spelled that really wrong) it had val kilmer, the bad chick from the craft and some other people I can't remeber, but anyway this movie was really long, and it just didn't make sense and was really boring http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif
oh oh ohhhh, Unbreakable, had to have been the longest dumest movie I have ever seen oh my gosh the movie didn't make sense, and the actors did a really baaaddd job and last but not least the movie bats and the eddie murphy remake of Dr. Dolittle is total trash http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif

Ok for me to think a movie is bad it has to be BAD, 'cause I'm like a little kid and just sit back and asked to be entertained . . . unlike some of my film major friends that sit there and disect the cinematography.

Dumb and Dumber . . . Ick.

The new Chris Rock movie . . (and I'm a fan) was worthless I left half way through and went into another theatre.

I'll think of more later

Any saturday night live movie...they take a skit that's funny for 5-10 minutes and drag it on for so long and make it so annoying.

Unbreakable...I wish I was broke and didn't have the money to see that movie because I felt like someone took a shit on me after that crap fest.

heatherh1981 05-17-2001 12:41 AM

Worst Movies I've ever seen (in no particular order:

1) Mr. Wrong
2) The Matrix
3) Dr. T & The Women
4) All The Pretty Horses
5) Hanging Up
6) Any Given Sunday
7) Dumb & Dumber (the title says it all)

SigmaChiCard 05-17-2001 04:24 PM

I recently learned that there is a
Speed 2
cruel intentions 2
blair witch 2

haven't seen them
but i'll go ahead and say
without having seen them
that they're the worst movies of all time

Carrieboberry 05-17-2001 09:53 PM

LOL, I usually have to think *long and hard* about these kind of questions, but I recently saw the WORST movie EVER. EVER.

Dr. T and the Women. It was literally PAINFUL to watch, and I'm still convinced that I lost a few braincells (momentarily, of course http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif) as a result. It had no plot, and still makes me MAD that it wasted 90 minutes of my life!!! BAD BAD BAD!

I agree with whoever said "Fallen"--that was pretty damn horrid too! Oh, and I just saw "The Watcher" last night on pay-per-view and it sucked raw eggs too.

As for my faves, here they are: Dumb & Dumber, Almost Famous, My Fair Lady, Shakespeare in love, Sliding Doors, and any of the National Lampoon movies--like Vacation. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Carrie dear...you are so right. We spent $4.67 at Blockbuster to rent that darn movie and the BF and I fell asleep in the first half hour. That was the first time that ever happened! It was Richard Gere at his worst!

I just remembered 3 more:

GIRL, INTERRUPTED
BOWFINGER (haaaaaates it, only saw 25 minutes of it and could take no more)
HOLY MAN (again after 30 minutes I was praying to turn the channel)

I rented from the library for free, HELD UP and will watch it today when I get home.

The CRAPPIEST movie I ever saw was this British film called Independent Women or something like that. My friends FORCED me to see that movie.

I paid NINE BUCKS to see it, and I STILL wanted to walk out midway- the only reason I didn't was because I didn't want to leave my friends.

It was AWFUL. the only movie I've ever watched where I didn't even want to bother to stay and watch the ending.

Come on, there are SO MANY other Keanu Reeves movies worth hating (anyone ever seen Little Buddha? I was LMAO!), that you pick out the one film that was the least bit cool? At least the effects were stunning, I had NEVER seen anything like that, and now those effets are in everything, even on tv (I saw them doing the fighting style sequences on CHARMED the other day).

Gotta give them some credit for that....

heatherh1981 05-19-2001 11:05 AM

i saw wonder boys last night. it sucked!!

CRMSNTiDEGRL717 05-19-2001 06:44 PM

I actually really liked Wonder Boys. I watched it last night too. I think Tobey Maguire is such a good actor too. I liked the whole chaotic thing it had going. I thought it was interesting.

For movies like these, where's Tom Servo and Crow when you need them (MST3K thing).

Rain Man

[This message has been edited by Rain Man (edited December 06, 2000).]

Hey fellow MiSTie!!

I am mad at you for stereotyping!!

Have you checked out "Daughters of the Dust," or "Drylongso?" They had some serious emotion in them. Not that I don't feel you on some of that crap that comes out, but don't give uP!!! LOL

While I'm here, the worst movie I think I've seen in a long time, no two movies, were "Black and White" and "Double Take." Unfortunately, I saw the latter on a date, and let me tell you, that was a quiet ride home.

LeslieAGD 05-22-2001 11:48 AM

About Wonderboys...I saw it in the theater and it kinda ehh but I heard they re-released it with a different ending and I just can't decide if I want to sit through it again to see if the ending is better now. Has anyone seen it with both the old and new ending?

CRMSNTiDEGRL717 05-22-2001 04:47 PM

LeslieAGD--- what was the old ending for Wonder Boys??
