There only thing you can do is just be there for him if he needs it. I can't tell you what to say. It depends on the convos you have. If he sounds like he's sad and whatever, don't say something assholish. I know you know how to party, so take him out to get his mind off of her. But don't let him get piss drunk cause people usually get all depressed and stuff when they're really drunk if they haven't passed out in time.

I am with AKA_Monet on this one. I am not sure why the guy is so devestated. Nothing has changed except his perception of the girl.

I don't think this has to do with the lifestyle (I mean, of course it does, but that's not the main issue). If she'd told him up front that she was an escort and he'd decided that he couldn't deal with that lifestyle, that's one thing. But he didn't get to make that choice.

I think betrayal is a perfectly rational emotion in this case. She's sleeping with other men. She's not telling him that she's sleeping with other men. Whether she's doing it for pleasure or financial gain, it still counts as a betrayal.

And she knows that what she's doing is wrong, or else she wouldn't try to hide it from him.

There is no getting arond it...she is ugly!

Did she really ever lie to him? Everyone is saying she lied to her guy, but did she ever say "I'm not involved with the adult entertainment industry" or did she ever tell him she worked elsewhere? If the answer is no than she didn't lie per se but rather didn't give full disclosure. She might be dishonest, unfaithful a list of other things, but I don't think she could be called a "liar".

Ok, I understand that so I apologize for not answering the original question in the thread. I think the main reason we're downing her looks is because:
a) She promotes herself as an escort when most escorts are beautiful (she is far from beautiful...lo siento but these are the facts)
b) She obviously sucks at life since she didn't have the cojones to admit to her boyfriend of forever that she sleeps with men on the side....FOR MONEY!

Anyway, I know it sucks for your friend that the girl he loves turned out to be a hooker but I think he needs to just walk away. Break it off with her and leave it that way. Unless he can honestly say that he's ok with her profession and that he's fine knowing she sleeps with other men (for money), he needs to move on. I'm sure he's hurt and angry but unless he wants to get hurt anymore, I think he needs to walk away.

She neglected to mention any of this to your best friend. You tell your story on a message board. The message board people tell you to tell your friend not to fret...she wasn't that hot anyway. You get upset and insist that she really is cute.

This girl totally screwed over your friend by doing one of the most dispicable things. WHY WHY WHY WHY are you sticking up for her?! If anything, I would think you'd be all about calling her ugly or nasty. I think that's what we're all confused about.
