Oh my God... I love March Madness and I am so out of the loop this year! I wish I didn't work so much... and I wish my office had a pool (maybe they do, and just didn't include me since I'm a girl) - I always get my picks right!

UConn kicked the crap out of BC today. With the wins over Syracuse and Notre Dame, should be enough to push them into the NCAA's. Okafor had a hell of a day Ended up playing great D on Troy Bell, who could end up as National Player of the Year (I hate BC, but I've gotta admit the guy is an amazing player).

They need a couple of good wins in the Big East tourney to get good seeding though...hopefully they win it.

did anyone see that notre dame-georgetown game? that was close. i really thought that was shady when they took back the 3 pointer because of where his foot was on the line. you have to admit. the hoyas were going to beat the irish.

I KNOW! I was a little worried for much of the game.

I was really surprised to hear that Coach Olsen is engaged. It was such a sad time when Bobbi Olsen died. Especially right before the final four. That would have been some story. There were signs around Tucson that read, "Four Bobbi". I suppose with all those good years Coach Olsen has left, there is no need to spend them alone.;)

Okay, after U of K dominated Florida at Rupp good ole Billy Donovan said it was a fluke, that Florida was just not playing up to their usual blah blah blah- (AND I LOVE DONOVAN) but after Saturday's game there is no question

Okay, as for the tourney, after U of K successfully wins the SEC they will go on to DOMINATE the tournament. I am so excited!!! Lots of BW3s for watching them on their run.

As for U of L, I think they are getting the shaft with Marvin Stone. Meanwhile, they are really doing better, I think Miles getting hurt was sad but possibly but more vigor was put into the team.

i think that the NCAA is turning into circus
i know that they want to right all of the wrongs

Well, the General isn't completely giving up his caiche. He gets $$$ from other sources. But it's a nice gesture, and I'm not a Robert Montgomery Knight fan. Ranting and raving from a man that age isn't attractive.

However, if I were a parent of a young man going to school, I'd rather have my kid under the General than Jimma "the Stud" Harrick.:rolleyes:

I'm not a big fan of women's college basketball, but..

UConn losing tonight was huge - being here in CT, it's all over the news now, and it's a pretty big sports story overall (end of the record winning streak).

I'm a fan of the men's team though. If UConn can make it to the Sweet 16, and if BU's team wins their first round game, I'll be happy.

did anyone watch the UK game? i fell asleep. and then, i woke up last so i didn't get to see the stats on ESPN.

I don't know what the heck is going on. LSU won the SEC tourney. Did it in style to. Whipped the pants off of the Lady Vols. Now UConn's streak is over. I saw a bit of the interview with Geno on ESPN this morning....He's a bit of a sore loser,don't you think?:p

The back-and-forth he had going with the young reporter (they showed it on SportsCenter) was kinda funny on one hand, but as a young journalist myself, it sucked to see someone like me get put in that position.

I could kind of understand though - they were supposed to just sweep through to the title, and now the streak is over.

Jim Rome's been talking about Geno A. all over the place. I heard the exchange and also found it very rude, as an old journo.

It's tough...you want to become a good reporter, and to do that you have to ask some questions that are beyond the softball range....but at the same time, if you're new and you are "too tough" for some of these people, they get all ticked off and give you a hard time. It's a tough line to walk.

Completely true. But I would still favor asking toughies, because you will gain more respect.

Even though I *detest* Louisville and Stone, I think the NCAA is taking their vendetta way too far. They've wanted Mark Komara for years and probably thought they finally had him through the (already documented and investigated) Stone connection. If they can't get hurt Komara through Stone one way, they'll keep digging until they get what they want.

I know Missouri won today.....boooooo, but KU is gonna do great in the tournament. And 1st or 2nd in their bracket, I don't care...I'd love another Oklahoma/Kansas matchup, of course with a win again.

Just a note? The refs sucked for both sides on that game. No one can disrespect the lifetime of competition between these two teams. It's always a tossup on who's gonna win. I hate Missouri, but you have to respect them (except when I heard Paulding or AJ say the F* word on TV....oops!)
