I just got a call about an hour ago ... 3 girls my daughter graduated with pledged KKG today!! I havent heard where or if the 4th one pledged.

Rah Rah for KKG! I can't wait to find out where my rec girl pledged. Should find out tomorrow morning...

My rec girl pledged Pi Phi yesterday!

She was so concerned that she would be released after first round when they told her that was possible at orientation. Of course, I knew this wouldn't happen and she had the best possible rush - liked all the sororities a lot and was the one doing the cutting. She was really torn between Pi Phi and Kappa, but I know she made the right choice for her!

That's so funny...I think I know exactly who you are talking about! I guess you really can figure out who people are easily from GC.

I also know which sorority you are talking about...they all had on pink dresses for ice water, and a surprising amount of people didn't like that!

I'm a very recent ZTA alum from LSU. Reading all the posts made me miss all the excitement of rush :( Anyway, I'm kind of glad to hear that more girls are coming through again. My year we had well over 900 girls going through, then it petered off quite a bit in the following years-quota got pretty low considering the size of LSU as a whole. All this makes me want to know all the gossip, like who wore pink at ice water and what the skit themes were and what everyone's bid day jerseys looked like and if anyone got in trouble with their chosen bid day activities lol

Ok, I gotta know, why is it such a big deal to wear pink at ice water? What color does everyone else wear?

Sorry if this question sounds dumb, we didn't do "ice water" or skits up in VA. :o

This acticle is from today's campus paper, the Daily Reveille.

Guillory also said the women’s rush process is more structured.

“The women’s rush is more structured,” Guillory said.

That is some fine journalism there...

It really isn't. Some girls were thinking though that because the entire chapter was wearing pink dresses that they were too girly and they might not fit in there, even though a dress color shouldn't and doesn't reflect a whole chapter.

And every chapter was different. One wore all white, one all black, and some were all just dressed up in nice dresses but not matching.
