Moni,
Yes we do have members of the NPHC on our campus and no we haven't done what you have suggested....yet. We were actually thinking of about having something of that nature but w/ all of the groups. It was going to be more of a discussion where each org would talk about all the programs they are having for the year. That way, if they wanted to have a co-sponsor, they could ask at that time. Also, it's so we can all know what events people were having so we can try to avoid having a lot of programs on one day (this happens quite often on our campus). So I guess we are going to do what you suggested except we are including the LGLOs and the AGLOs as well. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

ok, I am so late in reading this, but i wanted to say something too http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif We too have had a similar problem on our campus with other greek groups, but what we found to help us, is to just so support anyway, my group decided "hey we are all greek" kinda theory so we try to show love for all the groups on campus, although, some hate very hard on locals and MC groups. It worked out though for us, cause I believe when outsiders see how you approach the situation they give u a little more credit for coming out and supporting others when they are playing the hating game. So they see u in a better lite. We also try to do events with the other groups, but we make sure we make a special effort to invite all the greeks on our campus, and a lot of times on nearby campuses. Well, ok, I just wanted to put my to cents in. Good Luck with everything everyone

I was hoping someone here could help me...my sorority used to be a member of the website E-Circles.Com, this site went off-line on April 15th (money issues). The site was similar to this...you create a circle, invite people to join, and then create discussions and make announcements, the only people who could view this info are the invited members...does anyone know of anything similar to that?? We're looking for something private and exclusive, where we can discuss personal things as well as private soror issues, i.e. pledging, cross-over, etc.

Any help would be appreciated!

I think www.groups.yahoo.com may serve your purpose.

We use Yahoo groups. It is exactly what you are looking for, gammagirl97.

Hey there is a similar thread to this, but gammagirl97, I hope this helps, www.myfamily.com works really well, thats what my sorority uses, and only members invited can use it, just like e-circle.
Hope that helps http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

I can totally relate to you. We are a brand new chapter of a Multicultural Sorority on our campus and a lot of the other sororities did not welcome us with open arms. The Frats were more than happy to see us and wanted to do mixers and stuff. Yeah, the best way to get to them is through service activities. That will make both orgs. look better to have a large number of people there. Another thing that I personally have found that works is to see what Greeks are in your classes and set up Greek-wide study groups. Everyone loves a cool study group.
