Yeah, I suppose it comes down to that. I think if people were to go to these national events, and relying on what they heard, "narc" on their fellow attendees, that we might see the purpose of these national conventions defeated.

My purpose in going to those was to learn things to benefit my own chapter and nothing more. Not being anything more than an officer of my chapter (or alumni chapter), I didn't feel as if a lot of those things were my business.

I agree re: my own chapter though. I have no doubt that we as alums would be happy to pull the plug if anything resembling hazing was taking place.

I'm amazed at the people that haven't been exposed to any form of hazing. I'm not condoning hazing in any way but if anyone was shocked by the Lander University case then your in for an eye opening

It doesn't shock me at all. Gradually, hazing chapters will be replaced by LEAD chapters. It's just an inevitability.
