Isn't a girdle uncomfortable? IT just squeezs all your fat together right?

Ditto what everyone has said about eliminating "bad" carbs and sodium, and increasing consumption of water and veggies.

And depending on where the dress is too tight...

Avoid working out with heavy weights, as the muscles tend to swell a bit after they are just worked hard. Stick with cardio and light weights, high reps.

The latest issue of Fitness magazine has an article which is about what to do to be "party perfect" if you only have four weeks or two weeks. The have two different workout/diet plans based on the time you are working with. Take a look.

Maybe she's got too much fat.

I suggest not eating for 5 days, running everyday for 3 hours and smoking cigs each time you get hungry. Don't drink anything that has a high sodium level ( i recommend water only) and if you can, get your hands on some cocaine. You'll drop the weight like a back ally prostitute who's been smoking crack.

Dude, she doesn't even want to buy a new dress 'cause it's too expensive. You're telling her to get some coke?

I was joking. With today being the 2nd...there's not much she can do by the 12th aside from literally starving herself for the next 10 days.

I know you were joking. I thought it was pretty funny. :)

I'd just buy the new dress.

How about just borrowing a great dress in a size that fits from a sister? a good friend?

mmcat 11-03-2004 08:34 AM

ditto thetalady...
that's a lot healthier way to go.
but lots of water is a good thing regardless

I'll echo this one. When I started working out, I was doing lunges and found my pants getting too tight because my muscles were swelling in my thighs.

Ask your sisters to borrow a dress or call home and tell your parents about this great honor and why you can't fit into your formal dress. I'm sure they'd give you a loan or pay for your new dress.
