I razor my eyebrows & shave my legs & underarms. I don't have a lot of hair so I don't have to shave too often. I usually use a dilapatory (sp?) for my bikini area. However the smell of Nair can kill a man....

OUCH!!! I will just stick to the razor blade on the eyebrows. I like schick intuition for my legs and disposable razors under my arms. I use tweezers for those stray hairs that grow under my chin or I will just pluck them out with my hand if I can't find the tweezers.

Girl you ain't neva lied. The hair grows back slower with waxing, too but it hurts horribly.

I get the waxworks myself unless I am feeling self-sufficient and then I will shave but it's hard to get really clean with that method in thise "hard to reach" areas.

Funny I was just thinking the same thing. I've tried the Nair, but for whatever reason sometimes it burns my damn legs. Now if I water it down sometimes it won't work that well or won't work at all on my legs. Now under my arms it works very well with minor reactions. Other area, um, TOO STRONG. For my eyebrows, I'm trying to wax, but it hurts damn it......:( and then if they're not even then they have to fix them. I usually go to the barber shop and let this guy hook me up. When I was at Lincoln my girlfriend used to pluck them one by one. LAWD HAVE MERCY.... after the swelling went down they were cute:o

My girlfriend used to have the same reaction to nair, but that was because she always used soap afterwards. I would tell her what the directions said but she insisted the smell was too horrible not to use the soap and her legs would burn the h-ll outta her.

I pluck my eyebrows about every ten days or so. To minimize swelling and pain, I press a hot/warm towel over each eyebrow for a few minutes beforehand to open up the pores. It makes the hair extraction much easier and a little less painful.

I used to wax my brows but found that no "waxer" was able to give me just the arch and thickness of brow that I wanted. Everyone wanted to wax my brows so that they were straight across on the top?? I don't know what was up with that. Sistagirl has to have that arch so she had to learn how to do it herself. :)

I get my eyes threaded about two times a month. To me it is much less painless than waxing. But i have very thick hair on my brow. And the lady that does my threading knows how to arch your brow. Not just thread them straight across your face.

I recently began to get my upper lip threaded also. I thought it would hurt worse than waxing, but it actually is a lot less painful than waxing.

Plus, it is cheaper! I pay $8 for both.

My sister was raving about threading, so I decided to try it recently on my brows. I love it! :) Before that, I would get them waxed and tweeze the few straw brow in between waxings. But, many people that wax brows (as Summerchild said--at one point I too was hooking up my own brows) want to wax them in a straight line, and/or wax them too thin. Tweezing never hurt me in the past, so I new threading wouldn't hurt much eaither (actually, waxing hurts for me more--go figure). Now I get my brows threaded every two weeks. I like them b/c she never does them too thin.

As for other body hair, I shave using my Venus razor ( idon't have too much body hair)...

Well it does. Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong.:(

I use Nair for my legs and underarms. I get my eyebrows waxed. Hubby hates the smell of Nair, so I have to do it when he's not home. I get my waxing done at JCPenney Salon once a month. My what-is-taking-my brother-in-law-so-doggone-long-to-go-on-and-marry's girlfriend does it and it does not hurt. But since she's been on baby siesta, another stylist does it and it hurts like heck!!!

I have been thinking about this. How much it cost?
