Eh, I'm not holding my breath. I wasn't rude or bitchy, but I wasn't what one would call...uh...overly friendly. I basically told her that when I pledged, I pledged for a lifetime, not for a 4-yr period and asked her how she felt about doing that. I made clear that I wasn't personally attacking her, but that I really did't understand. Ah well. ;)

I think its her attitude that bothers me more than anything else. I just wish there was something we could do about it.
Hmmmm, didn't we approve alum expulsion at convention this year? ;) |
if she wants to let it go, why doesn't she just mail it back to nationals? or to a local chapter. who knows. . .maybe she needs the $$. . .but seriously? why hold onto it this long if you're just going to sell it? grrrrr. . . .

No alum expulsion was struck from the bylaws that we voted on at convention.

Hey, she cancelled both of her auctions - the pin and the lavelier! Yay!
|
quite honestly i think an alumnae chapter in her area needs to invite her to join.

The member had been 'lost' from Sigma Kappa and didn't remember what to do. She is now 'found' and is keeping her badge.
Please remember that if you see a badge on E-Bay, in most cases we don't know if the seller is a member, or a relative, or a random person who bought it at an estate sale. National headquarters has a staff member monitoring badges on E-Bay and serving as the offical contact, so if you see a badge, do an information request on the Sigma Kappa website and let NHQ know. Sellers don't respond to NHQ when they've gotten 50 unpleasant e-mails from members. Thanks. |
