I start jury duty for the first time ever ever ever on Monday. :D

I am so excited. I wonder if they have a computer lab at the courthouse. ;) :p LOL

I pray I get picked. 2 weeks AT LEAST off from work.

Yall say a prayer that I get a doozy and we take months to deliberate. :D :o

I wonder can I send a letter volunteering for Kobe's case? I wouldn't mind being sequestered and reading THAT book. ;)

Girl I would LOVE to sit on that jury too for Kobe's case. I think that I would be fair to both sides. I too would love to read that book . :o ;)

But I always get picked for jury duty, BUT since I am in school I always dismissed.

I was called to serve the day before my birthday. That, originally, was my only reason for not wanting to serve. But then I got into the room and found out it was a murder case. The accused was looking very crazy, glaring at the potential jury members. I was so glad that I was dismissed. That man scared me. I think he did it just cause he was looking like that...lol

ALWAYS EXCUSED

I was called awhile ago and was dissmissed b/c of my occupation. I think they keep track of your answers b/c I was never called again. Plus the fact that my job has a memo in our computer system that is pre-formatted to excuse us as soon a s we get summoned. When I retire I guess it would be fun to serve on one from the other side.

About a year and a half ago, I was called for jury duty and selected as an alternate juror. It was a car accident case. However, the case settled the same day that trial was to commence. I won't be called for jury duty for another 2 1/2 years. :D

I have a jury duty summons for early next month; but I'm really not feeling the whole thing. I'm thinking of telling them I gotta be outta there 'cause my spaceship leaves at 5. ...that ought to do the trick, ya think?

1. Have you been called to serve?

Yes

2. If so, was the case "big"?
It was a criminal case involving grand theft, a conspiracy ring and all that, so that was kind of interesting. Probably not "big" thought. LOL

3. If so, did you use any tactics so that you would not have to serve?

No, I wanted to do it. I was leaving my job and going to law school the following month so I wanted to see how things sometimes work in the court room.

I was called to serve a few years ago. Since I didn't live in the area anymore, I was dismissed. :D

I remember my mother's students told her to pretend as if she were catching imaginary butterflies so she would not have to serve. :o
