DI2....I actually get the gist of what he is saying (and Kevin correct me if I am wrong) but most of us middle to north easterners live in or near large urban areas where guns are already enough of a problem and we (regardless of racial or social backgrounds) have no real need to perpetuate the problem BY CARRYING a gun also, which is why, IMO it's lost on me that Oklahomans have a need to carry a gun to a soccer game if it's just the norm.

I mean. at that point, what northeasterners had actually SAID anything about how they felt about guns?

The phrase "you folks in the Northeast" is perfectly correct from a grammar standpoint, and is non-inclusive either by connotation or denotation. Taking offense to it is silly.

Even if you assume it to be a generalized majority (which seems fair), you have to lump yourself into that majority group to get anywhere near the level you're aiming for.

Sad that a gun toting gun rights advocate just happened to die by her husband's gun.

What the community and family there may never find out will be how much abuse if any she suffered under her husband and why she didn't shoot him instead.

Going by what you said, carrying a gun for protection, well you almost have to figure the one she needed to be protected from the most lived under the same roof.

DI this is where I have to step in.

1. Your article. The incident happened in PA Carrying around a gun, much less to a kids sporting event was not deemed normal.

2. Kevin's comment in proximity to your OP because you were in shock.

3. Kevin made it abundantly clear that it's common in Oklahoma that people to carry concealed weapons.

3a. And due to that, his 'you northeasterners' I divine to be in reference to the people in PA who were up in arms about this woman bearing arms who made her get her licence suspended.
