To the person who sat next to me on the bus this morning:
If Ludacris, Jay-Z, Biggie or DMX come on my iPod, I'm going to crank it up and bop my head...HARD. If you don't like it, the bus seats 50 and has room for 15 to stand so MOVE!! |

To the Charlotte DOT: HOW DARE YOU CLOSE down 2 lanes of traffic on Independence last night when I was trying to get home to see Trading Spouses?!??!!?!? What is normally a 20 minute drive at that time of night was 45 minutes!!! GRRRRRRRR I mean seriously, when will you all be through? You've been constructioning that road since I came to visit this city 3 years ago. To BLACK MEN who wear suits: The sight of you in a suit causes me to feel warm and gooey on the inside. Keep wearing them please. By suits, I mean black, brown, gray, navy blue, not those other colors. To Amel Larrieux: Your song FOR REAL is the absolute best. The best. It captures the real essence of love in so many ways for me. I would love to hear you sing it live. :D |

Nope, on her IPOD, she has Kenny Rogers and Loretta Lynn. :p To soulfulremix: It's playing on my Launch station right now. It captures how I feel soooooooo well. So very well. **sigh** I heard the a capella version last week and almost cried. |
To Ray J.: Following Usher much? You look CRAZY in your new video. The song is already unnecessary, but you insisted on including dance moves a la Usher (whose moves are already taken from MJ). Please do not make any new videos or albums. Stick to hosting shows on BET. :o

To Burger King: The scratch off says I can claim my prize (free food) until August 15. Today is August the TENTH. In the manner of Soror Brandi, I am writing the headquarters a STERN LETTER. :p STERN!!!!

To the nurse who helped with my dental appointment: WATCH THE SUCTION TUBE!!! You nearly sucked my tonsils right out of my mouth. It's called muscle control, learnituseit.
To my dentist: Now, you knew my head would be next to your stomach when I was reclining. There was definitely a rumble in the jungle. Eat before hand, I won't be mad at ya. I'd rather your breath smell like fries than your stomach sound like an earthquake. |

To All Saginaw Parents: In 2 weeks, a new school year will begin. I will now offer you some tips to keep you and your child out of my office at the agency:
1. Do Not Wait Until Report Card Time To Get Involved In Your Child's Education: I hear the excuses all the time: "I work full time!" (so do I), "I'm a single parent!" (so am I) and they go on and on. It's about PRIORITIES!!! If you think Daquanavious' education is important enough for you to perhaps take a vacation day or two and see what he's doing at school, then maybe he'll think school is important. 2. It's Not ALWAYS The School's Job: this is especially for the parents who have chronic truants. If you know that little Lavitashanay likes to skip school, don't depend on the school to always call and tell you or send you a letter. You know your child; YOU call and make sure she's there and if she's not, put the smackdown on her!! 3. Don't Wait if Your Child Needs Help: I have so many parents who come in to see me, telling me that their child is failing school and now they need help. Problem is, it's the end of the school year and any help that little Hennesey needs would be too little, too late. There is nothing wrong in asking for help. There are lots of free or low-cost programs that will help your child if they are struggling in school, and all you have to do is ask!! Hopefully, following these tips will ensure that you and your child will have a successful school year and me some stress-free days at work! |
