DeltAlum 02-06-2006 02:27 PM

Musical comments.

Aaron Neville doesn't have the voice to sing the National Anthem. Aretha was outstanding as usual.

The Stones were pretty average.

Finally, why The Stones in the first place. Didn't it occur to anyone that this game was in
Motown?

AGDee 02-06-2006 02:58 PM

That's been a major complaint here since they announced it would be the Stones. That's why they had the Motown thing during pregame, I think. But, yes, we should've had more Motown (Martha Reeves was just elected to City Council!)

Kddanni. My heart. I must say, I work with a bunch of monkeys. Do you work with a bunch of jackasses?

I say, I would have rather Missed Janas Boob than Watch this miscombolatin of Mick J doing His ????

This Whole thing was not interesting. Couldnt wait till I could find something of Inerest to watch!:(

kddani 02-06-2006 07:15 PM

I think seeing Janet's boob for a millisecond was MUCH less offensive than seeing Mick's skinny ass jumping around the stage, and that shirt that kept riding up.

Good thing he had on a belt, or those pants would've fallen right off. *shudders*

Detroit did look good, DeltAlum, and it seems like they put on a good party.

Bottom line is that the Seahawks didn't get the job done. The Steelers made many mistakes and played pretty much what I thought was one of their worst games of the year (in terms of ridiculous mistakes). But the Seahawks made many mistakes themselves.

The rules are the rules, and the calls were in line with the rules. As DeltAlum said, in order to reverse the call on the field, there has to be conclusive evidence on the replay. And there wasn't. Plus that was one play out of hundreds in the games. The Seahawks still lost by 11 points

If the rules were the rules, Hasselbeck wouldn't have gotten a penalty for doing something that is LEGAL and D Jack wouldn't have gotten called for holding. Ben's TD (or not) was only one of many calls that the refs screwed up.

Actually from what I've heard today, the one on Locklear couldn't even be found on the replay (and that was an East Coast guy telling it).

And there's an "h" at the end. It's the Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania; I think you may be thinking of Tommy Earp's Pittsburg, Kansas which does not, to my knowledge, have an NFL team :)

And I agree with the people who say that Detroit looked really good :)

Dani: I read about Pitt students rioting in Oakland. WTF??? Back in my days, everyone would have been too apathetic to go through the trouble of overturning cars and starting fires. Kids today

Since we're going after spelling, it's HASSELBECK (with an e)

SmartBlondeGPhB 02-06-2006 08:05 PM

Interesting article from someone NOT in Seattle......

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playof...ael&id=2320683

And who had more incomplete passes?????

M. Hasselbeck 26/49 53% 1TD 1INT

B. Roethlisberger 9/21 43% 0TD 2INT

I think someone needs to check the stats............

If "we" are splitting hairs, I was going after geography. Not spelling. Nonetheless, my apologies to both Matt and Elizabeth :)

And you, sugarpie, need to chill or you're going to have some sort of breakdown :)

Are you referring to me? I didn't check the stats before I posted, I just noticed that quite often Matt's passes ended up, um, on the ground.

Maybe that happened to Ben as well, but, last I heard his team won so it's irrelevant.
