Mixer theme: WEDDING!!!!!! Always a blast.
We had something like a crush party too, only it was a blind date party. Some were good...some were very very scary!! |

			DGPhoney - CONGRATS on Moderator
the most fun mixer/social i've been to this year was totally impromptu - our social chair put an Ad in the school news paper that morning that said something like "DZ Girls: Get A Date by 8 and meet at Vitos (a bar here)" It's so much fun b/c everyones scampering around for a last minute date and going crazy with what to wear - but when we finally got ther e- it was sooo much fun

Thanks Iowahawkeye, and Congrats to you as well. Hey that sounds like a great event, sometimes, the spur of the moment ones are always the coolest.
ok, silly question, does anyone know how to do the moving eye faces , instead of some of the other smiley faces?
Thanks]

The best mixer I ever went to was a "Toga/Graffiti" mixer. Everyone wore togas and wrote on everyone else's toga. I actually found the toga I wore in a box in my mom's attic last year and it brought back some great memories! :-)

I always liked the graffiti mixers because it was so funny to go home and read what everyone had written on you. Plus, you also had a little momento of that mixer and the people you met (not that I'd ever wear the shirts out )

Oh, and DGPhoney, when you post a message, there is a smilies legend to the left...click that and there are all the faces you can make. Have fun with them.

Funny story a yr back a fraternity friend of mine were all at a toga mixer, and his toga wasn't tied on properly, so he lost his toga, but he had on other clothes. More of the story boys and girls, always tie your toga tight

My favorite was the "Color Me Happy" fingerpainting social we had with the Kappa Sigs. It was my first social as a pledge. Lots of fun. We had long-sleeved white t-shirts on with "Color Me Happy" printed across the back, and "DZ/Kappa Sig Fingerpainting Social" and the date printed on the front left breast (where a pocket would normally go). We used fingerpaints to decorate each other's shirts, and then went to the house to change and let them dry while we went back for the party portion of the social. It was great! and I still have that shirt!

We had two cool mixers:One sorority on campus has an anual tye dye party, where you make your own tye dye clothing, our fraternity all went in tye dye togas, what a blast.

the other is one from my fraternity, our Irish Wake party, we select one brother, who does one amazingly stupid event in the year, and he is our corpse, we dress him all up pretty in a tux, get him all drunk, while he is drunk he writes his last will and testement, then we take him to the party at the house, and put him in a makeshift box, until 12am where he rises from the dead (passing out) and reads his last will and testement. lots of fun, this one was passed down from alumni, yeah could be trouble causing, but we havn't had incendent yet, we have so many boys around we make sure they are ok.

Your Irish Wake Party reminds me a lot of the SAE "Paddy Murphy" party that they would have every spring when I was in college. It was always a blast!

Our chapter has done the following mixer/exchange themes:
 Pajama-jam
 Lua
 Spagehttii Fests
 Toga
 Graffiti exchange

We also gone ice skating and roller skating with sororities. These mixers include a few ice breaks and games.

Well, we had a "one piece of clothing" social once that obviously got a little out of hand and we do a Jimmy Buffet bash almost every year. I like the graffiti socials best though.
