That I can respect.

I just ask you respect the Forum and leave personal agendas at the door.

People need to feel good about wanting to find the Lord not bad about what they are doing.

Share the truth of God's word and less of your personal agenda.

Don't recruit for your website. If your words are true and relevant then speak them here with honesty and straightforwardness.

Is that something you can do?

WHOA WHOA WHOA..Bruh YOU are out of line. How are you going to tell someone to leave their personal agendas at the door on a public message board? Icononclastic has every right to post his opinions on this board like everyone else..just because YOU or anyone else doesn't agree or because what he's saying isn't popular does not make him any less entitled to do so. He can share his personal agenda all he wants..isn't that what you do in your "You've got questions, I've got answers" thread?
NO people don't "need" to feel good about wanting to find the Lord...IF they can't handle the truth...that is their problem..Christians aren't here to sugarcoat the truth or make people feel comfortable in their sin... Bottom line is NO ONE likes to hear the word of God refute something they love to do. (and no one has yet to refute bibilically what he's saying) Since when do we stifle debate or tell someone what they can and can't say on GC? Maybe I need to read the forum rules again...cause I missed that rule. Maybe Iconoclastic is a little over-zealous in his quest to lead others to Christ...but that's his approach...if you don't like it..you really dont have to read/respond to what he has to say..

And as far as him recruiting for his website..people do that all the time..in fact most people have a personal website in their signature line or in their profile.

Im sure everyone is going to get on me for saying what I've said...but oh well..same stuff different day..

Love_Spell_6 for your reading pleasure. Check the date on Iconoclast's profile.

Again I have no problems with a man of God. Speak the word of God and leave it at that.

Love_Spell_6 I hope you were well aware of each and every GC thread I've posted here. He was banned before. He's calmed down from back in the day, but he was still banned none the less.

If he is gonna teach then he should teach. If he's trying to convert I, as a Man of Omega Psi Phi, want him to take that elsewhere.

Enjoy
=============================================

Minister Fred Hatchett was born in Manhattan, New York on May 1, 1966. In August of 1976, he moved to Greensboro, North Carolina. He has Bachelor degrees in Zoology and Chemistry from N.C. State University, and Theology from Mount Zion Christian Church's Hosanna Bible College in Durham, N.C.

Minister Hatchett came to know the Lord on December 24, 1993. He denounced the Prince Hall Masonic Lodge in 1992 and after 2 years of ignorance and then rebellion, denounced Omega Psi Phi fraternity in 1995. He went on to write a book called, Coming Apart At The Seams: Biblically Unravelling The Evils Of Greek Fraternities And Sororities, finishing the self-published, 392 page work in 1999. To the chagrin of my adversaries, the book was published in 2002 by 1st Books Library. It is now 462 pages in length and available at http://www.1stbooks.com/bookview/8065, the major online bookstores, or directly from Minister Hatchett (call - 919/829-3513).

Minister Hatchett received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues in 1995 and was called to preach the Gospel in 1997. He preached his initial sermon on March 12, 2000, graduated Hosanna Bible College (Class 2001 Salutatorian), and became a licensed minister in the same year . Minister Hatchett now teaches, EXPOSING SECRET SOCIETIES, at Hosanna Bible College. He has been a member of Mount Zion since November 1995 where his Pastor is, Apostle Donald Q. Fozard, Sr.

Minister Hatchett is an avid opponent of Greek-Lettered Organizations that claim to be founded on Christian Principles and are not. He is in Covenant with Anointed Students in Unity Fellowship (ASUF), a NON-greek fraternity/sorority, founded by Shannon Thomas at Albany State University. Contact info: smetts@asurams.edu

He has spoken at Kentucky State University (Wesley Foundation), Howard University, University of Maryland, and Asbury Theological Seminary (Wilmore,KY) and is available for speaking engagements.

Minister Hatchett is believing God for any secret information from all who are willing to reveal it. He can be reached by e-mail- glos_havebeenexopsed@yahoo.com

If you have information that is not in written form, I will take that as well. The written BGLO rituals that I have yet to acquire are ALPHA KAPPA ALPHA, ALPHA PHI ALPHA, PHI BETA SIGMA, and KAPPA ALPHA PSI. Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I ask all who are not saved to come to my website homepage.

Now this thread reads, " Is frat life good for Man of God?" Now I am not in frat life anymore, but I am a man of God. After what I saw, I was compelled to answer. Yes I was banned before, and John Hammell knows that I came back, because I e-mailed him explaining what happened and how I came back. John knows that I don't hate anyone, and I am glad that he has respected my freedom of speech. I understand that this is a privilege and right not to be abused, as did the founding fathers. So I know that I cannot say everything I want, because he is the head of this site. It's all about favor.

Let Jesus Be Glorified!!!!
I'm not greek and don't quite know whether I still want to be or not. My friends and I have read your book. I know of a lot of people who attended some youth meetings where you were the guest speaker this past year (in the G'boro area) and they've all had good things to say and have made solid decisions about forgetting about greek life altogether, changing their organization of interest, or denouncing their letters in order to seek God's face without any restrictions or soulties. I think it's beautiful. I know a lot of people may disagree with your approach, but I want to thank you for at least putting the information out there so people will have a better idea of what they're getting themselves into before they commit to something so serious, myself included. So, even though I don't know where I stand, thank you for your points of view and information. Definitely gives me something to think about.

Forum rules

I believe that if someone comes in this Forum and decides to ask a question that has two sides to it then both sides should be heard! The young man who originally posted here asked a question that had attached to it Man of God, which implies that he wanted answers that came from people who confess to be Men of God, and are in or out of the greek sysytem. People please stop trying to convince yourself that you are something when you know you are not! In this system if you find out someone is perping, they are most definetily goign to get hurt, but I find it funny that when people are challenged abotu their faith, then they want to pull Matt 7. Jesus is very clear about not judging, becuase judgement is a attribute that only God can justly do without being partial, or have just cause to do so. So when you judge someone, you are acting lin the place of God, and for that He is very angry! So what should we as christians do to identify one another. I will tell you, do a fruit inspection. Galatians 5: 19; tells us what the works of the flesh look like, and what the fruits of the spirit look like.

Flesh: Adultery, fornication, uncleaness, lewdness, Idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outburts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissemsions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, and Paul goes on to say in verse 21, that those who practice such shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

Fruits: Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering,Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, gentleness,self-control. Again Paul says in verse 24 that those who are Christ's have crucufied the flesh with its passions and desires.

Now you who make claims to be in Christ check which side you fall on. If I can have acceptance by interrogation in my org, than I can sure find out if you are in the household of faith by your fruit!

And for the legalistic saints who want to act like you have no sin, the Bible is clear in Galations 6:1 that if a brother is overtaken by a trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of of gentleness, considering yourself lest you be tempted.

Be who you are no matter what the cost, and where you are in life. Let your light shine, and stop allowing the darkness of this wordly sytem to cloud who you are! I'm gone!!!!

Here is my whole issue and after this I am done.

The original sum of the question was: "Is frat life good for man of God"

A man of god and a man searching for God are two different things.

Frat Life is good for a Man of God

Frat Life is bad for a Man searching for God

If you don't understand that difference between the two then we need to start a basic discussion on what a man of God is.

My issue with Iconoclast's personal agenda is that is we examine anything we can find where someone is serving two masters if they take a pledge or an oath.

Boy Scout Oath

On my honor, I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

How many masters does this show a Boy Scout should support?

By applying th bible and portions of it to a great deal of things we can put a spin on anything.

Let me back up a few steps to get right.

Icon answer this for me.

What is the purpose of a fraternity or sorority?

I like the suggestion!

What is a man of God? And if he claims to be, what God is he serving? How do you serve God? LBF I think these are great questions and should be discussed, by all means please if you feel so lead, start that thread. That will clear up a whole lot of misinformation, frustrations, and all around speculations without truth.

I will do one question at a time so we can stay focused.

What is your definition of a Man of God?

Answer over in that thread.

At a workshop at the DST convention Bishop Vashti MacKenzie posed these questions for you to determine if the organization you belong too will interfere in your relationship with God. If you can answer no to all of these questions, then the organization is not a threat nor a hinderance to your beliefs and sprituality, and by the same token it is not to be the vehicle for your religious fulfillment.

1. Does the organization violate the final authority resided in our Lord, Savior Jesus Christ?
2. Does the organization have a plan of Salvation?
3. Does the organization teach Salvation other than Jesus Christ or against Salvation through Jesus Christ?
4. Is its Constitution and By-Laws teachings contrary to the rules of God?
5. Does it require its members to believe in a Supreme being or to obey a Supreme being?
6. Does it fit Webster's definition of religion?
7. Does the organization worship God as creator and ruler?
8. Does the organization teach that it is the one and only true religion?
9. Does the organization reject Christianity or God? (this one may not be worded exactly right.)
10 Does the organization name other god's in it's prayers and rituals?
11. Does the organization prohibit discussion of God?
12. Does the organization bestow divine titles on it's leaders?
13. Does the organization condemn the Bible?

ETA: Thank you to my soror on the DELTAnet for posting them there.

Unhappy

Just to be clear, the sentences before the list of questions were mine and not a quote from the Bishop. As for the rest of your remarks and for you.

1. Does the organization violate the final authority resided in our Lord, Savior Jesus Christ? Yes! This is done in Burial Ceremony.

2. Does the organization have a plan of Salvation? Yes! This is done in the same ceremony.

3. Does the organization teach Salvation other than Jesus Christ or against Salvation through Jesus Christ? Yes! This done in a few parts of their ritual.

4. Is its Constitution and By-Laws teachings contrary to the rules of God? Yes!

5. Does it require its members to believe in a Supreme being or to obey a Supreme being? Yes!

6. Does it fit Webster's definition of religion? Yes!

7. Does the organization worship God as creator and ruler? No!

8. Does the organization teach that it is the one and only true religion? No! And that's the problem.

9. Does the organization reject Christianity or God? (this one may not be worded exactly right.) Yes!

10 Does the organization name other god's in it's prayers and rituals? YES!

11. Does the organization prohibit discussion of God? No! But then, who is God?

12. Does the organization bestow divine titles on it's leaders? No!

13. Does the organization condemn the Bible? No, not directly.

I will obviously not leave you all hanging for long. I will respond in full this evening of Friday. By then I will have McKenzie's quote as well as the answers to those questions. As A matter of fact, I will need to answer some of these on my website due to the sensitive nature of information I must reveal to show you all the truth. It will be posted in my Forum Link. It looks like McKenzie needs to denounce. But one thing for sure, DST has either affected her relationship with Jesus or it was already messed up. Do you notice the compromise in her opening statement. One of the questions she asked is just asking for it. You will see it on my site. If you decide to cut and paste it, that's on you all.
I have read and re-read your post. I don't get it. Maybe I pledged a different Delta than the one you are speaking of above. The Delta I pledged is not a religion. It doesn't seek to become a religion. Therefore, it doesn't teach that it is the one and only true religion or have a plan for salvation. The constitution and by-laws I have doesn't contradict the Bible. I wasn't told to believe in or obey a Supreme Being other than my God. I was never asked to reject Jesus Christ or to place him in lower priority. The Delta I pledged never asked me to condemn the Bible in whole or in part. The leaders of the Delta I pledged are just that, leaders of Delta Sigma Theta. Not divine or supreme being that I must worship or bow before. I have never been told that I can not discuss God or Jesus Christ while the meetings of Delta are in session. So, I don't know what organization you are talking about in your post. But it is not the Delta I pledged.
