Somewhat echoing adpiucf's post, I'd find out who the Recruitment Chair is immediately (committee, too, if applicable), and set up a meeting. If they're local, a lunch meeting would be perfect, but if not, use a chatroom. The important thing is to find out their thoughts, plans, and possible themes, and develop a relationship. Be there to help, but always remember that, just because you did it one way doesn't mean it won't work another - common sense prevailing, of course.
Oh, and have fun!
