Talking I'm an alumna!

I posted this "up front" for everyone to see because I'm curious as to who else on GC is going alum this semester -- but I wanted to let all of my sisters know that I'm now an alumna! I'm really excited. Order of the Triangle was SO beautiful, and I'm very grateful for the wonderful collegiate experience I'm now leaving behind.

To the alumnae out there: when you join an alumnae chapter, are the dues super expensive? (I'm going to be working full time while I'm in grad school, but I still have to pay rent and I do want to be involved!) Just curious... I am REALLY looking forward to my experiences as an alumna!

Any other sisters going alum this semester?

SLAM,
Lauren

Hi there!
The alumnae dues are supper cheap in comparison. My chapter just raised the dues to $40/year! Less than my collegiate monthly dues. But of course the more the chapter does, the more cost involved.

Talking

{BIG HUG}
I remember being soooo excited I could barely contain myself. But when I was a collegian I'd always be balling my eyes out. When it was my turn to go through Order, I swear you could have slapped me, and I'd still have had a massive grin on my face.

Hey guys... I just went through Order of the Triangle last night. It was so sad and beautiful at the same time. I was such a big baby, I didn't cry when I was going through Order, but I did cry when meeting was over. It is so strange to think that my life as a collegiate Sigma Kappa is over with.

Love in Sigma,
Andria

I wish that I could have the same experience of Order. I don't feel that I'm ready to be an alumnae (and neither do our freshmen or the rest of the chapter). I can't imagine being in their shoes.
I helped plan our Order and reception, and we had alumnae fly in, for that I was grateful. We also had a superb cake (strawberry rhum), because we decided that we needed to spoil ourselves for the occasion!
I love Sigma Kappa, especially my sisters- its just weird for all of us to be alum now!
