Nervous about Spring Rush!

Hey everyone! I am planning on doing informal rush in the spring and I'm kinda nervous. I am not sure what to wear for pref night. For formal rush in the fall I saw that it said a "cocktail dress" but not formal wear...so I was just wondering if a flowing skirt w/ a dressy top would be ok too...please help! I'm really nervous but I'll keep ya posted!

Edited because I totally misread your post.

If your informal rush is not structured you may not have a "pref night" as such. Sometimes the parties will have titles (XYZ Campout, XYZ Starlit Night, etc) and that can give you a clue as to what to wear.

At any rate, if your skirt flows to the floor it is too dressy for formal OR informal rush at the majority of schools.

Informal rush can be extremely different from fall rush. Your best bet is to contact your Panhellenic office and ask them about appropriate dress. I don't know how your rush is set up, but if you only rush one house, if you feel comfortable doing it, ask someone in that house. Also, a good resource is other girls going through rush, see what they are wearing that night, that can give you an indication of the overall dressiness. Hope that helps. . . good luck!
