Question help me out on this one, sorors

I recently came to discover that some Greek organizations “adopt” a high school and have “little AKA’s”, “little Alpha’s”, etc… (I’m calling them “little” for lack of knowledge of what they are called and lack of a better word). I am told that they have no knowledge of our rituals but either simply aspire to become Greek or would just like to work with Greek organizations. I have even seen some of them step, strut, and train. This is completely new to me and I really do not know too much about it and was wondering if any of you have heard of or if your chapter participates in this. If you have, what are the pro’s and con’s of such organizations before the collegiate level? Better yet, what is their purpose? (I am asking the latter question especially because a lack of knowledge on the topic)

And, something to carry with all of you for the rest of your beautiful day . . .

Soror, many organizations sponsor middle school and high school groups in order to mentor young people and provide academic assistance, leadership training and community service opportunities for the kids. To my knowledge, these groups are not set up as "little" AKA, APhiA or anything else. If there is stepping and/or specific preparation for pursuing greek life in college going on, that is news to me, from the AKA perspective.

You should read up on our Ivy AKAdemies and check out whether your local grad chapter sponsors debutantes or some other teen group.
