Baylor University
I just heard from my friends at Baylor that Baylor University is on the look out for a new sorority! Any chance it will be us? I know we have never had a chapter there. Love all these Texas Gamma Phi chapters!

ETA: Sorry for the crash, I didn't realize that this was in the Gamma Phi forum.
I was only an assistant delegate on the Panhellenic Council during 2011, but I feel like Delta Gamma would be more likely--if only because some women's mothers were DG's at Baylor. I am also fairly certain that Tam Dunn is a Delta Gamma, though I am not sure if that would in any way lead to DG being picked if Baylor does decide to officially open for expansion and DG is invited to (and does) present. I don't remember hearing much chatter about Sigma Kappa (which had a chapter at Baylor), or Gamma Phi while on campus.
Honestly, though, anything can happen. I am a year out of Baylor and the council has not officially opened up for expansion AFAIK. After KD closed, though, I did hear a lot of talk about DG. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few years. All of the chapters are doing well, and pledge classes are getting a little too big to fit into our chapter rooms.

Sorry for the crash but I do not think Gamma Phi Beta ever had a chapter at Baylor. On IrishPipes list, I see Delta Gamma, Sigma Kappa and Kappa Delta had chapters. Good luck!

No, we've never had a chapter at Baylor. I am fairly certain we presented when they chose Sigma Kappa.
There is so much that goes into choosing a chapter I wouldn't begin to hazard a guess. I hope Gamma Phi presents, and that they are a good match, but if not, best of luck to the new chapter.

Baylor is not currently open for expansion. I do know that we have presented there at least once in the past --- but I'm not certain if it was when Sigma Kappa or Kappa Delta ended up colonizing. From what I understand, Greek life is thriving at Baylor, so who knows what the future will bring?

Gamma Phi Beta, Kappa Delta, and Alpha Phi have been invited to present for expansion at Baylor.
