Well, in order to be inititated into any chapter, you must first go through sorority recruitment and receive and accept a bid to an organization.
I would suggest calling the Office of Greek Life at the university you have decided on, and ask them to send you any information on recruitment. Then, go through, have a good time, and keep an open mind. A lot of good info on recruitment basics can be found in the Rush Forum on this site.
