Brandon, I don't know what you linked too, but all that comes up is a nine second clip showing a picture of the milk and cookies logo

Nice to see Vanity Fair make a Fox News anchor look stupid.
But you'd think she could use more than just FDR for an example. What about Nixon? Was his 2nd inauguration as gaudy as Dubya's was last week?

Chicken Salad. Pfft.
The woman from Vanity Fair really did make a fool of herself! Comparing today with World War II where rationing programs and food preservation drives were by necessity strongly pushed is ludicrous. Doubtless she sees hereself as some disruptive Michael Moore-esque figure but all she accomplished was a failure to address the subject at hand, displayed a flagrant disregard for swiftly evolving domcratic process in Iraq and a contempt for Iraqui people freed from a tyrannical dictator. Her comments were wholly irrevelant, misguided and ably handled by the news anchor.

OMG, that is the funniest thing ever! You could tell the anchor was getting so pissed, but she couldnt really do anything about it. That vanity fair woman looked like such a bitch!! wow. I mean, I SORT OF agree with her, that Bush doesnt need to spend THAT much money on an inauguration, maybe if it was his 1st time as pres, but damn. Of course, I am not a Bush fan.

You might want to look up the percentage of that money that was privately donated to fund the inauguration - if you're going to put on the tinfoil hat, it might as well be for the right reasons, guys.
It really wasn't that big, comparatively.

Actually, most of the money came from private donors.

Well even being donated, not to be mean, but couldnt it have been donated to something else? I guess I am a bit naive but I would think that privately funded money could go to something better.

People have a right to spend on whatever they want. This isn't the U.S.S.R. or Cuba.

Yeah, and I could donate money to Greenpeace if I thought it would do something good. Others could tithe 10% to the poor instead of church. That's the world, y'know?
