hey! i am from the Gamma Lambda chapter (san jose state university) of delta zeta! i am currently the activities chair so sisterly games are my thing!
my all time favorite game we play is called "cross the line". all the sisters stand in 2 lines facing each other or in a big circle depending on where youre at, and the sister running the game would say.. "Cross the line if...you are an only child"...and so on, so on, asking sisters to cross the line for almost anything you can think of!
When we play this game, we usually start of fairly vague with such things as "cross the line if...you are an only child", then get to medium depth like "cross the line if...you were upset over the colleges you got into", to very deep questions such as "cross the line if...you have ever experienced depression".
it is such a fun game, and the best part is that when more than one sister walks out (which ALWAYS happens), you get such a good reminder that you are never alone and that no matter how different everybody is, you have all gone through the same experiences in life. during this game you could also say "okay, does anyone want to talk about why they stepped forward?" or "does anyone have a question for the girls who stepped forward?".
another fun game we play is called "touch a sister". you will split the house in half and have half the sisters stand in a line and close their eyes. you will then start saying things such as "touch a sister whose closet you wish you could raid" or "touch a sister who will be in your wedding", etc etc etc! and then you switch groups! it is definitely fun because you get such a warm feeling when you feel your sisters tap your back
we play so many other games that i absolutely love! let me know if you liked those and i could tell you some other ones!
