Athletes... ?

One thing the chapter at my school is considering is to approach the basketball program to present the benefits this organization has that would benefit players. We don't yet know how we are going to do this or how exactly to present it, but varsity athletes are something that we have none of in our chapter. I was just wondering who out there does have varsity athletes, if you wouldn't mind responding with what school and sport, I'd love to hear how it generally works out.... thanks

the smu chapter recently got cleaned out and reorganized. tx upsilon i believe. i hear they have several guys with 4.0's that are double majors as well as varsity athletes. i would try contacting that chapter and the men that helped to rebuild it. i know our texas RD had a hand in doing it, so i would try getting john weir's e-mail address off the nationals website and see what he has to say. i know we all hate talking to nationals... but they really are here to help.
