Ohio chapters make clean sweep of GSP Award!
Grand Senior Presidents Award given to the Epsilon Chapter at Ohio Wesleyan and Gamma Zeta Chapter at Bowling Green.
First time ever, TWO brothers awarded the Hargear Brother of the Year Award! Brother Elijah Haahr from Epsilon Omicron Chapter at Missouri Western State and Matt Maurer from Gamma Zeta at Bowling Green were each bestowed this prestigious award.
2003-2004 Undergraduate Scholar of the Year is Brother Jared Linsley from the Zeta Chapter at The Ohio State University.
Jared is a 5th year student studying aeronautical engineering and carrying a cumulative 3.76 GPA. In addition to his HSP responsibilities, he has two internships with General Electric in their aircraft and gas turbine divisions, and has two patents pending for works that he has created with GE. He is active with the Big Brother Big Sisters Program and is a member of two engineering honoraries and the Senior Class Honorary Society.
Alpha Gamma Upsilon Award for Most Improved Chapter Awarded to Alpha Tau Chapter at Stevens Tech in New Jersey.
The Gary A. Anderson Award for Best New Member Program went to Zeta Chapter at The Ohio State University.
The Distinguished Service Award was given to Brother Kevin Garvey, Alpha Nu at Westminster College, 1975.
Kevin has served the Ol Gal in a variety of capacities such as Executive Director, CEO of the Foundation, Grand Senior President and now as a Trustee. Few before him have had such a lasting impact on the Fraternity.
The Distinguished Merit Award was given to Brother Thomas Hinkley, Gamma Chi at Indiana University, 1984.
Tom is retiring as CEO after an exemplary six years at the head of the Fraternity Staff. He has differentiated the organization at the NIC level while bringing strict fiscal responsibility and increased accountability to the undergraduate level. As his peers in the interfraternal world have attested, Tom has advanced Alpha Sigma Phi through his interfraternal leadership and keen focus on undergraduate priorities.
