Songs to sing at weddings?/TUNE TO REMEMBER & ROCKABYE!!

Hey there! So I heard that there is apparently a song that is traditional to sing at weddings (I'm getting married in May!) but I don't have the words/sheet music/etc. Any help? Also, no one in my chapter knows the tune to rockabye or remember!! We only have the words lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'm gonna bump this thread because I'm getting married in November. I graduated last May from Ole Miss, my co-bigs are both maids of honor, and I'm inviting a lot of sisters. If there are any wedding traditions, I'd love to know what they are!

Hi, sweetie!!! I am a Theta alumnae from the Ole Miss chapter, 1980. ETA: I just searched & saw that we "met" here a few years ago. Best wishes on the upcoming wedding. Where are you getting married (city)?

The traditions that I know of were to have a gold kite dangle inserted into my bouquet, but NOT the one that I threw. I wore my badge under my dress. If I had been able to have any of my Theta sisters in my wedding, I would have asked to carry their pins attached to my bouquet, too. I know I have seen a picture of an ADPi that did that. I'll try to find the picture. I had petit fors with dark purple & yellow sugar pansies on top. One last thing was done during the ceremony that I can PM to you....

Awesome! Thank you! This is the best information I've been able to find anywhere.

We're doing it in Dallas. I kind of wanted a southern-style wedding and that's really hard to find here! We're pretty much decided that it's going to be at Arlington Hall at Lee Park. The building reminds me a lot of both The Lyceum and our Theta house, especially on the inside.
