What's up? Phi Delt was actually one of the first fraternities to have a charter here at UT in 1883, which is our founding date. We have been strong until the late 1990's, when the chapter was disbanded in 1997. Phi Delt came back in 2000 as a chapter and has been growing since. All Phi Delt chapters in Texas (15 of them) are pretty top notch, especially anywhere UT and north. A&M is good, TCU, SMU, and Tech are awesome on their campuses. In fact, Texas Tech Phis are one of the best chapters in the nation. In terms of UT, we are slowly, but surely gaining our prescence back. It takes time though to rebuild. We are getting a brand new house (the old one was torn down by the city in '98) pretty soon and we are growing in size. That is probably why you haven't met many Phi Delts in the Austin area.
