Skull and Bones

http://www.msnbc.com/news/802773.asp?0dm=C19KV

OK, I realize there are a lot of conspiracy theorists out there, and I can accept that S&B has a lot of wealthy and influential members, but do they REALLY expect me to believe this kind of nonsense? When it comes down to it, S&B is just a fraternity. There's a long way between an old, secretive, hazing brotherhood and EVIL PLANS FOR WORLD DOMINATION.

Oh, Fuzzie, but plain old fraternities -- even of the wealthy -- just aren't nearly as much fun as groups of Illuminati that arrange the opium wars and the JFK assasination, now are they? (And actually, S&B isn't a fraternity; it is a senior society.) No, world domination via the New World Order is a lot more juicy.

Actually, reading through the whole link that you provided, it appears that the book in question debunks many of the better conspiracy legends. Might actually be a good read.

In the meantime, sometime when you have some time, check out the "information" at this site: The Order of Skull and Bones. It's always good for a chuckle or two.

It seems like a hokey way to suck us into buying the book, though.

So, how can I get into the Illuminati? I didn't go Ivy, so is it too late for me? I have some great ideas for assassinating world leaders the US doesn't like!

I think you have to be a guy to get into the Illuminati.

Guess I'll get the operation then. It'll answer the question I always wondered ... do they kick you out if you get a sex change?

For heaven's sake. Surely the Ivy Club at Princeton and the Porcellian at Harvard control SOME of the corridors of global power. I mean, it's a big world.

You are right as usual. I vote for you as Empress.

Wow, they celebrated pirates? Boy, I am scared. Do you think the Bonesman want to dominate the world so they can make everyone wear eye patches?

I think I'd be okay with that but I'd have a hard time keeping a parrot.

I actually find this stuff with the Skull & Bones, Masons, and the Illuminati quite fascinating.

I dunno though, they must be at least a little powerful and important, or they wouldn't be the subject of so many books, or movies with Angelina Jolie and Paul Walker, etc.

LOL

I agree Shine..

I wonder what they think of when/if they were see those movies?

Like did they sit back and laugh at the way they were portrayed because it was so far off, or did they think.. dang.. that's a pretty close portrayal?

Kind of makes me wonder

No doubt there are some members who are powerful. I mean, if you're going to make a society composed of the 15 most connected and promising students at one of our nation's most elite universities, you're going to end up with some important members eventually. But that doesn't mean S&B is first on their agenda. I mean, I don't think Ronald Reagan, when elected, thought, "Ha ha, now I can finally implement my TKE plan to rule the world!" Nah, instead he probably figured, "Hey, I have something to brag about at alum BBQs."
