My amazing grandma was in a sorority at the University of Illinois quite a while back. When I was going through recruitment she sent me an email that I think I should share with this awesome community.
Although some of it may be dated, I thought it was cute and helpful
From Grandma Ruth:
"Always make sure that there aren't any runs in your pantyhose.
Don't ever discuss anything racy.
You are a young lady. Please act like one. No bodily noises of any kind and don't apply makeup where someone else could see you.
Please don't wear sneakers. I know that you like them, but buy and wear a decent pair of flats. Your mother will like that too.
Smile all the time! You should be happy to be going through this process! Plus your parents didn't pay all of that money on orthodontia for no one to see it.
Wear a nice necklace. Just about every girl loves necklaces. Plus it will give you something to talk about.
Don't refer to the process as 'rushing'. You shouldn't be rushing. You should enjoy every second of the experience, even it it's very overwhelming.
Practice your answers ahead of time.
Eat a good breakfast!
We all love you, the right group will you love too."
Isn't she adorable?
