2006 APO National Convention Recap
Maggie Katz was elected APO's first woman national president.
Mark Stratton is the new VP.
The 2008 Convention will be held in Boston.
Two brothers had their membership revoked (PM me if you want the schools or other details).
Legislation was passed which puts all chapters in line with inclusion policies. (I will clarify this when I am absolutely certain of the language used in the resolution.)
Sigma Pi Chapter (Prairie View A&M) won roll call.
Special shout out to Brothers Quala67 and Attractive#7 who are also here.

Yay National Convention! I wasn't able to go this year - only two of our Brothers made it up there, but I have been told that we're hosting Regionals for Region 4 in 2007...We're also hosting Sectionals for Section 74 in 2007. GO Tau Mu Chapter.
P.S. REALLY looking forward to taking a trip up to Boston for Nationals in 2008!

It was a blast! =)
What were the topics covered in legislation? I never got the entire list of the legislation topics that were covered during the sessions.
Shoutout to the brothers that I met in smoking room! =)
I noticed that there were two weddings at the convention, one between two brothers that were on staff, and another between two brothers. Are the other couple the ones that met at the APO in New Orleans? =)
Much congratulations to the newly married couples!
I cannot WAIT for the Boston 2008 convention!!! I will be absolutely sure to hassle the crew to get sign language interpreters. =)

Star,
The "wedding" between Patrick and that girl (Ashleigh?) was fake! It was all part of the wedding crasher theme of the party.
The real wedding was between Quala67 and her real-life beau who is not a Brother. I don't know how they met.
In terms of legislation, since I wasn't there the whole time, I can't tell you what passed and what didn't, but you can go to apo.org under the convention section to access the proposed legislation.

You look familar, Senusret. =) I should be easy to figure out....seeing as how I was the only deaf person at the convention. xD;;;
I still haven't recieved my member number for the membership, so I can't access the proposed legislation without it. (Either that number or something related to membership to access the password-protected area.) I guess I'll have to wait, or hassle my brothers at my chapter to tell me! =)

Yup, I got married at Convention!
My husband is NOT a Brother - but worked several shifts at NatCon for Security.
How we met? Well, we've known each other for over 20 years now, even BEFORE I was a Brother (really, there was a time in college I wasn't APO), and have been good friends ever since. In May, he drops the bomb on me that he's been attracted and interested in me for about 18 of those 20 years, but couldn't act upon it b/c we always seemed to be with other people. He proposed in October, and when the rumour came out that there was to be a wedding in Louisville, it was jokingly suggested to me that I oughtta do it. I scoffed, told Fury - and he said 'why not?' So we did!
I should have pics up on Facebook soon, for anyone who is interested...

Does anyone know what the Program of Emphasis is for the next two years, along with the NSW themes?
Also, as to the 2 Brothers who were kicked out. They were both kicked out for fraud. One was ripping off Brothers while a pledge, and was only found out after being initiated (actually a bit of discussion about this, seems like some didn't want to kick them out), the other ripped off their chapter (much less discussion on this one).
