Question...

Hey Ladies!!!
Ok, question for you all...Would anyone have any advice on how to establish a National Philanthropy?? I know that is kind of a vague question, but like, we're trying to find something that fits us, gives brothers opportunities to learn/grow, etc.

It's tough because there aren't very many National Asian-related philanthropies out there.

If anyone has any advice, send me a PM or just reply!!

Thanks!
-Nate

I know the Asian community is very diverse, as there are many Asian countries, but are their some common threads in terms of needs? Is there a disease that is prevalent in Asian populations like Sickle Cell for Black people or Tay Sachs disease with people of Jewish decent? That might be a place to start. Why not develop your own organization that provides scholarships or language training or something like that to people of Asian heritage?

Hmm, those are good ideas. The thing is, how do you set up a whole new organization? How old/big was Zeta when they set up Z-Hope, etc.?

I'm just trying to get an idea of the manpower needed to do something like this.

Z-HOPE is the brainchild of our current Grand Basileus. There have been other national service initiatives during previous administrations in Zeta as well that are now a part of our sorority's legacy. We have a manual full of Z-HOPE programs for youth, women, men, seniors which focus on either the mind, body, spirit or some combination of the 3.

If you have programs that you have done on a local level that have been successful, document the process by which you implemented the programs and begin compiling them into one single database. That way the next chapter can implement the program without having to recreate the wheel!

Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.
