Study: Silver Cars Safest (Brown Cars Least)

What I wonder is why. I guess because silver is very reflective, therefore harder to miss? But, yellow and red are very hard to miss also.

I have a silver car and about a month ago an old lady ran a stop sign right in front of me, smashing in the front of my car. It was a clear day with completely dry road conditions. I've had that car just over a year, and not a day has gone by that I haven't had at least one person pull out in front of me or cut me off like I'm not even there. Most often old people.

I think it most likely has to do with the age of the car.

How many cars being built today come in brown? I can't even think of a brown car that is equipped with airbags or anything beyond seatbelts.

Unless tan is counted in the brown group...

On the other hand, if you think about it, older cars generally did not come in silver. That's a more recent color of choice.

That's my theory anyhow..
