I didn't read through the entire thread so I don't know if this has been addressed, but can they set up the PHC like Santa Clara University?

A local sorority, Phi Iota Chi, says on IG that it is “excited to announce that we are recognized as a local nonprofit organization associated with the Bloomsbury Intrasorority Council” and cannot wait for recruitment. This is an interesting development.

Updates:
All of the locals have decided to form their own Bloomsburg ISC.
The three nationals will be part of a local CPC that will work with NPC staff to set the new standards for their Panhellenic community. They will likely do a COB only style of recruitment moving forward, and total is set at largest chapter size +10. Because the university is no longer involved, the CPC voted to allow first semester freshmen to join, and groups will use their own national GPA requirements as the bar for that. Largest chapter is Delta Phi Epsilon at 62, with Tri Sigma at 53 and ASA at 47.

Bloomsburg has announced that they will recognize fraternities and sororities beginning next year. The school will be hiring an FSL director and two assistants.

In the last three years, Bloomsburg’s NPC chapters have done a wonderful job at continuing as a successful Panhellenic. It’s going to be quite interesting to see how this plays out. The fact that they’re talking about hiring three full-time staff is interesting in that they never had more than one staff person. I have heard that the locals will be invited back as is without any national backing. I’ve also heard that the university is trying to get Greek alums to donate to fund the staff additions.

Thanks for the update shadokat. I’m hoping the orgs that did things right can be brought back and even be expanded on in the future.

It’s a big step for Bloomsburg. Full-time staff could really strengthen Greek life, but balancing locals and nationals will be tricky. If done right, it could set a good example for other schools.

Montclair State University actually has separate councils for national and local orgs. They seem to balance it well but I'm not knowledgeable about the intricacies of running it. But having enough staff could work with it in the long run.
