Chi-O Trivia
Okay ladies, it's Chi-O trivia time!
In my chapter I'm known as the individual that knows pretty much anything and EVERYTHING there is to know about Chi Omega (history, songs, meanings...etc).
So the other night for our "Good of the Order" we played Chi Omega Survivor. Us Juniors won the immunity challenge!
And here's the question:
Back in the good old days (like around the time our founders were around), how much were dues?
A) 40 cents a month
B) 10 cents a month
C) 25 cents a month
D) 18 cents a month
(please don't cheat)
Post your answers and comments. I'll be posting a new question in a couple days!
Good Luck!
Hootie
PS. The point to Chi-O Trivia is to remind us, in a fun way, about our sorority. It's not meant to be a competition or a test. Just have fun with it and see how much you really know about Chi Omega!

Hootie, you are sneaky! I remember that question from pledging and if I was home, I might just go look in my manual, but I won't cheat!
I really thought it was 20 cents, but since that is not an option, I'll go with 25 cents.
By the way, good idea! You're a great moderator and perchance are you or were you a Pledge Ed.? Ever thought about being an NC?

SuperXO~
Unfotunately I was never a new member educator I really wanted to be one though! I just LOVE learning about Chi Omega and knowing all there is to know about our fabulous organization.
I've never thought about being a National Consultant because I haven't held an executive position.
Who knows. I still need to finish up school first, but I wouldn't mind traveling and helping chapters with recruitment ideas (I'm a Public Relations major).
I'll be posting an answer to the above question in a few days! Gotta keep yall wondering!
Love in the bonds,
Hootie (Amy)

You all are too smart!
You're right!
Dr. Richardson created our first badge out of dental gold. The members all took turns wearing it. Ina Mae Boles was the one that created the Official Council Ring, not badge. Julia Winchell (Xi Chapter) though was noted for designing the first pledge pin!
PS. I did have to look up some of that information LOL!
Have a good weekend and I'll post a new question after Spring Break!
COTIA!

I agree, Mary, I think I remember Ally Simonds being the artistic one.

The answer is C; Ina May Boles.
After studying in Chicago, New Your, and Paris, she settled in New York and later married Mr. Morton, a lawyer there. She did not foget Chi Omega, serving not only with her art as it was needed, but installing several chapter in those early days.
I did want to bring to your attention that Allie did have some artistic talent but she married and shortly after bearing a child, died. Her grave was kept up by her sisters (how sweet).

Hootie-
That's an easy one! Even I remember this one and I have been an Alum for almost twenty years. The answer of course is C. However, I believe it was only from 1906 that the badges were standardize. Prior to that time they were all different sizes and different types of stones. Also, I believe that the badge has to be either all diamonds or all pearls. However, I do have a question regarding who is permitted to wear the pearl and diamond badge. Please email be privately even though I do not think that this is private information. (Just in case)
Also not to change topic-but has anybody seen the diamond badge (ring) currently on ebay.
