Lion Alert!

I just picked up the cutest lion! It's a "Pluffy" and made by TY (the company that brought you beanie babies). It is the softest & sweetest lil lion I've seen in ages, and is called "Catnap".

Definitely Diamond Days material!!!

You have to feel him to believe him - he's SO soft!!

I got him at Waldenbooks, of all places! But I'm sure he's available at any place that sells Beanie Babies.

We didn't, but that sounds like a cute idea!! Our family tree schtick was in pillows - we all made a pillow for our littles. My family pillows were all oblong; some were square, diamond shaped, or round. One family tree did the round, but made them into a lion's face on the one side.

We had "family" lines from our local, and each family had an animal attached to it. We were discouraged from continuing family animals, but some did it anyways. I know that I found a lion and polar bear (our family animal) slinky that I gave to my big diamond, and then she willed it back to me to give to my little diamond from her, and I willed my set of slinkies (I got a set for my older diamond and one for me) to my little diamond's little diamond...

What a cute lion...I think I'll have to get one for myself

I also like the idea of something just for the diamond family. I didn't have anything like that, but it would be cool!

I agree with the discouraging cliques from forming....but even if we don't refer to them as families, there are others out there who do (in other sororities)....you continue to correct them, but they continue to refer to them as that way. For sake of explaining things, that's why I use the term "families", because my diamond sisters are close to me, and I got close to my "little" diamond sisters diamond sister.

I believe the intent is also to eliminate hazing activities that might be handed down in "families."

But I LOVE that lion, Honeychile!

I'm definitely going to have to check out the mall when I go with my <> on the 9th (can't believe it's so soon!) We both could use a little pick me up!
