Kent State Spring '09 Informal

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any possible information on whether or not Kent State University's sororitites were having informal recruitment this Spring of '09. I know they got a very good turn out for the past Fall '08 Formal, so I wasn't sure if they were or weren't having Informal. I've been interested in joining a sorority for quite some time now and think it would really get me connected and involved with the KSU. Thanks for any response!

Hi there, I'm a KSU alumna.

I think every chapter does some form of informal in the spring.

Generally, chapters will advertise via fliers, chalking, the little display cases in the Student Center, and ads in the Stater. Some of them will even have Facebook groups/events set up advertising their informal recruitmtment events.

School hasn't started yet, but you should start seeing stuff about informal on campus in a few weeks. Usually, the flier/ad/whatever will have contact info for the chapter's informal recruitment chair.

Best of luck to you. All the sororities here are filled with great women. Sorority life is also one of the best ways to make such a big school seem smaller.

There are at least 2 sororities at Kent, DZ is one, that will not be holding informal recruitment events this Spring because they are over Total following Fall formal recruitment. Otherwise, you should start seeing fliers and other information on campus soon like KSUViolet said.
