Foundation Pin

How would I go about getting one? Lauradav posted somewhere that you need to donate $25 in the five years after you finish college. I've donated much more and have been out of college for two years. What do I need to do to get one? Or who should I contact? I would love to get a pin if I can!

Have you donated to the Foundation or paid your alum dues because those are different (one goes to the Fraternity while Foundation donations go to the Foundation).

You can email Marci Medwed at mmedwed@alphaphi.org.

I lost mine so I need to get a new one too -even though I don't qualify as a young alum anymore!

What's this about a Foundation pin? I've never heard of it. Does anyone have a picture?

Isn't it a little silver or pewter ivy leaf? A CA in CA was wearing one at the Regional Conference and I think she said it was a foundation pin.

It is a little silver ivy leaf. I usually keep mine on my black winter coat, b/c I wear it when I don't really want to wear my badge but want to show my allegiance to A Phi.

No, it is not too similar to the NM pin. It is an outline of an ivy leaf and is shiny silver.

...it's also a little more "squat" in size...really a stylized ivy leaf. You would not recognize it to be an Alpha Phi piece of jewelry if you just saw it somewhere out of context which is why I wear mine with my badge.

Sistermadly...you did see me wearing it.

Thanks for the email address Stacey! I have donated to the foundation at least twice, and for a lot more than I can afford because my husband told me to! Got to love the Alpha Phi husbands!

Donating to the foundation....

While we're on the subject, when can a sister start making donations to the foundation? Is there any certain time that donations should be made?

Too bad Laura, looks like we'll miss each other by one month. I'm getting married at Sunset Pointe at the Polynesian resort on 8/6.

Just so everyone knows, you don't automatically get the pin, you have to ask. That's what I found out when I emailed Marci, the person in the previous post. But it's really simple! Mine should be coming in the mail soon!
