Post Activities Needed

I am in charge of the youth at our church. I am fairly new to this job and I am in need of games to play for the youth day. This event will take inside the church santuary. Does anyone know of any activities?

I have all ages groups. The target is for teenagers from 12+, mainly high schoolers. We have very few young ones.

For the real young ones you could play Musical Chairs, Pin the tail on the Donkey and a piniatta (sp) and for the older ones try some kind of scavenger hunt. You could break them up in teams and take it from there. One of the problems/missions they must solve/complete could be that they need to find a New York Quarter. They did that for the Archonettes at the NY State meeting that just past and I thought that was really cute. I hope this helps.

I don't know what your church is like but for youth activities at our church we have two classics: booty charades, and chubby bunny. I don't know if you've ever played but with chubby bunny you stuff your mouth with marshmellows until you can't say chubby bunny anymore, the person who got the most in his/her mouth wins. Booty charades: you spell out a word using your booty (one of the bible study leaders made this one up)and have people guess the word. Hope this helps. However, obviously if yall are a really conservative church then the latter would not be app.

lol your ideas are interesting Rahel but booty charades lol oh goodness I've never heard of that one before. It's something interesting but like you said it would not be appropiate in our church. However, it sounds like something fun to play in a less formal place. I have to keep the super critics in mind when I make these decisions. The Chubby bunny would be fun but I dont want an large kids to feel un-at-ease. Thanks for your information though. Keep em coming.
